I am going to go with Gambit. He could cause greater damage at a distance than Blade. But if Blade could get in close he would probably win.
Blade vs Gambit
I'd say Blade. He'd look at Gambit standing around in his trench coat, and go "There's always some mo'f(bleep!)ka tryin to ice skate uphill.", and behead the Ragin' Cajun, and then fire all 40 clips on his person into Gambit's skull. Either that or Gambit confuses Blade long enough with his rapid-fire Louisiana lingo for Beak to bust Blade's skull with a tire iron. Then they take his wallet and book it.

I’m not sure about this fight. blade should be stronger and faster than gambit plus blade has his healing ability and he can mesmerize gambit by looking into his eyes. also he has guns, but gambit is agile and his powers mean he should be able to hurt blade. I think because blade goes after vampires every night he should have a upper hand with constant training against super natural creatures. I give this to blade.
I'm not saying Gambit wins by the way. Only pointing out that they fought (in Gambits own book so...take from that what you will)
yeh looks like gambit wins i guess. yo i like gambit more anyway, but still i would be a serious fight if they make a updated rematch.
Blade would win. Physically, Blade's got the advantage in everything (except for possibly speed) over Gambit, plus he's been fighting for a LONG time so I would say he's got a tremendous skill advantage over Gambit. Gambit's a great fighter and would hold his own in a fight with Blade, but ultimately Blade would kill him

I'm agreeing with you, minus Blade being at the disadvantage on speed. If anything blade is faster. I'd need to see scans of Gambit leaving after images. Blade has dodged Gun fire, Laser fire, blocked bullets with his sword and a chain. He's pretty darn fast.
@bossmonster: thats why I said possibly. I wasn't aware of Blade's speed feats, mostly Gambit's. I thought that they were about the same. Now I have no doubt Blade will win.
Blade is a beast but Remy at range can do some serious damage
Remy also dodges gunfire Remy's speed is def superhuman
Gambit is pretty fast, definitely not one to sleep on.
Sadly for him, Blade is still tougher, stronger and older (more experienced)
Honestly, this would have to be KO battle for Remy to win, otherwise Blade would eventually kill him.
I'm more impressed with Remy's combat showings overall. He has the destructive output, agility and experience to keep up with Blade - also, Gambit didn't win in his solo series but that doesn't mean much. It was an extremely brief fight, and Blade thought Gambit is a vampire; he immediately trying to kill him as a result, but Gambit held him off while holding back. Even in the scan (from Gambit v3 #4), Blade can't sustain balance after Gambit blocked his sword - while Remy casually lands on his feet. Gambit had a clean shot on him, had he been willing to take it.

Didn't the fight with gambit take place before Blade was established to become super human?
@jashro44: Indeed, but I was addressing why Gambit not beating Blade even though they fought in Gambit's book shouldn't be held against him.
Blade wasn't portrayed as verifiably superhuman until his late 1999-early 2000 6 issue mini series. However, some sources afterwards reference him as being half-vampire with all their strengths but none of the weaknesses for the entirety of his existence - whether that is meant to be an error or a retcon is up for debate.

Fair enough.
Going blade based on skill and showings then and now, though Remy makes him works for it, and blade doesn't come out unscathed.
Long range Gambit, short range would be a toss up, but I'm sure his kinetic abilities would grant him a edge there, along with his surprising amounts of skill and ability.
@gottheit: You gotta stop smokin that stuff kid. It's making you delusional.
