Prep makes this a close fight

Black Panther and Storm will win. BP both has advanced technology and mystic items while Storm doesn't need to see the target to hit the target.

Couldn't Mera just dehydrate them both?

AM and Mera could solo...

Aquaman is Wonder Woman level in terms of strength and Mera is a hell of a lot stronger than Storm. Black Panther's new magic powers are an unknown quantity but I doubt he'd handle the trident. Team 2 with relative ease. And Mera is hotter than Storm, has to be said.

@zaied: Doubt it. Manta gives him trouble, and Panther regularly takes down power players like the Fantastic Four, Namor, Iron Fist, entire Avengers rosters, etc. And he's done so since his debut.

@captain13: And Manta got clapped when Aquaman got serious. Which is something people always forget when assuming Black Manta is on his level, or Aquaman is anything lower than a high tier brick.

That said, Storm could very likely be taken out quickly considering how high and fast Aquaman and Mera can jump. Even so I'll give it to team 1 only because of prep.

@captain13: I think aquaman can be handled if black panther uses his energy daggers. I'm of the opinion that aquamans speed isn't that great in the new 52 from what I have seen and that he does have a stabbing weakness. I don't know much about Mera though. I think aquaman vs storm is interesting but I might go with aquaman. I'd need to think about that one more though because there power sets are so different.

If its pre new 52 than aquaman solos unless black panther does something big with prep.

All though does black panther have access to Wakandain resources before Wakanda was destroyed here?

Yes--I would like this debate thread to be the standard one for this match-up, and I expect him to have access to those resources by the time his movie comes out.

To be fair, Aquaman can use Atlantean tech he currently has access to in the New 52.

Alright. I don't really know much about aquamans tech so I can't comment on his prepping abilities.

@justthatkid: They gave BP new magic powers and tech to make the fight competitive otherwise he would have been waxed. The fight was broken up twice by Richards and Hulk. BP has shown nothing to suggest he's top tier. Aquaman fought evenly with Wonder Woman and stabbed out one of Darkseid's eyes.

Team 1. Aquaman and Mera won't be able to touch Storm if all they're doing is jumping out with no manuverability. She is very fast and agile in flight (I.e. dodging Scott's optic blast/M'jolnir/Energy blasts.) So tagging her won't be as easy. Add to the the fact that she can control the atmosphere they are jumping in negates this strategy completely. Storm made short work of WWH withher winds andbought her teammates time.

Mera's dehydration process takes much longer than all of Storm's power manifestations and there is also no evidence she could do this from a distance. It took her what seemed to me a few seconds to dehydrate this guy.

Let's also not foget that Storm has dominion over moisture as well including her own. Mera would have to wrestle Storm for control over her water vapor, which won't end well for Mera. People also forget they're both suceptible to lightning.

Aquaman asks the Others for their Atlantean Regalia and he solos handily.

Or he just uses Prisoner of War's Manacles of Force to shield them while Mera uses Hydrokinesis to kill the other side.

Black panther uses his prep to give storm every advantage over aquabae then puts aquaman in a silver surfer arm bar until storm beats her then they beat aquaman via vibranium lightning daggers and black panther PIS.

I've read a lot of comics about T'Challa. Without prep, his team are MURDERED!

With prep, Black Panther at least knows a threat is coming, and will plan out every strategy there is in Wakanda. His vibranium armor suit will come in handy when he tangles with Aquaman and show him how strong his technology are in comparison with the deep seamen!

Storm will be given a suit of her own, amping her durability and elemental abilities.

They have better advanced technologies and magical knowledge that they've used this DC team.

With prep, Black Panther is a BEAST and will hard to lose without cosmic interferences!

Some serious underestimation of storm here. Not to be that storm fanboy but storm has been able to keep up with superstrong and fast people before and should be able to do here as well at least long enough to get up in the air and out of their reach. I mean she once crossed swords with a cosmically empowered Gamora and though without a doubt had the fight gone on longer Gamora would have sliced her, her being able to stall her at all is indicative of Ororo's physical skill and capabilities.

That being said in terms of skill and raw power, Mera is impressive yes but Storm is in a league of her own. In her solo title she literally ripped apart all the atmospheric layers protecting the earth from the sun in order to flash evaporate a tsunami which was about to destroy a city, and she did this in seconds. There's nothing preventing her from dropping that kind of raw elemental hurt on AM and Mera. That plus her electrical powers which are 'super effective' [lol pokemon] on water based creatures would be too much I feel for them to handle.

Add Black Panther's prep to this and I believe Team 1 wins after a moderately challenging fight

Prep is a significant advantage.

Probably team 1 more often than not. From what I can gather it seems like the best chance team 2 has is Mera just dehydrating them but at the same time Storm could be brining the hurt on them as well.
