Black Mask vs. Zsasz

Roman Sionis vs. Victor Zsasz.

Round one: H2H

Round two: both have a knife

Random encounter, They start of 20 feet apart for both rounds.

Takes place in a Gotham alley.

Zsasz round 2...there is no way Black Mask can take Zsasz in a knife fight :)

What feats does Black Mask have? I'm sure I saw him get beaten by Catwoman once?

Criminal Mastermind - He is considered the top strategist and organizer in the Gotham Underworld.

Torture Master - Has been known to torture people into insanity. It is considered his defining skill, as he both physically and mentally tortures them to a degree few could match.

Hand to Hand Combat - highly accomplished athlete and has been seen to be on par with heroes and villains such as Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, Catwoman, and at one point the Batman.

Peak Physical Conditon All aspects are considered on par with most adventurers in his time.

Marksman - Considered by many to be deadly accurate

Master of Disguise- Has been able to blend in and even fool the Batman with his disguises.

@silent_bomber: Yeah he did get beaten to Catwoman, but h2h Catwoman could beat many of Batman's villains. Zsasz too, in my opinion.

Probably Zsasz, at least in Round 2. He gave Damian trouble.

I read the first two Black Mask appearances (+ Catwoman and No Man's Land previously) and so far Black Mask isn't coming across as much of a fighter, he seems more like a criminal mastermind character (in NML he lost very easily to Bertinelli in a Batgirl costume)

I'll try to look for something a little more contemporary to read.

How often has Black Mask stood up to Batman in H2H?

@silent_bomber: Batman can beat Black Mask with no effort.

In the past, Black Mask has defeated a less experienced Stephanie Brown and shown a fair level of hand to hand combat skill against a Red Hood impersonator. I think he has a good chance of winning round one. As for round two, Zsasz is very skilled with a knife and has beaten Damian whistled using one so he takes this one.

Yup that's definitely the impression I'm getting, just saw Batman actually insulting his fighting ability.

Zsasz has given Batman trouble in H2H on more than one occasion, even without a knife, I'd say this is an easy win for him.
