There is a swimming pool? Well provided this is deep enough this should be a pretty easy win with Prep for Manta all he has to do is pin wolverine to the bottom and let him drown.

I think the question is if he physically goes toe-to-toe with Aquaman.

@Nefarious: Yeah but does he actually physically fight Aquaman? If he can fight Aquaman underwater then wolverine stands no chance, he'l just throw him in the pool and hold him under.

Hmmm, I know exactly nothing about him but his CV profile made it sound more like he's a prep, mastermind sort of foe. But if he can physically rock Aquaman that's something that wolvie's gonna have a time with. So undecided to the utmost.

Feats for Black Manta:

• Dodges Aquaman
• hurts Aquaman with his lasers and other tech
• Sword that can cut through Aquaman's skin

• Oh, and he's also a genius

Basically, he can hang H2H with Aquaman. I'm going with him honestly.

If Black Manta is holding Logan down in the pool, can't Logan just remove his arms with a swipe of claws? Or can he tank adamantium as he takes the time to drown the X-Man?

He was simply stating his strong point isn't swimming. He has another dialogue concerning the topic at the conclusion of a Jason Aaron storyarc where he fights soldiers with lightclaws and synthetic healing factors. It's the "Adamantium Men" arc. Edit: Did find the arc I was looking for.

Honestly, Black Manta is probably too smart to do that immediately. He would weaken Logan first.

How so? I am not up to date on Black Manta besides what I can glean from online and my M&M; DC styled RPG book. With his one day of prep he can weaken Wolverine, or does he have a way to do it once the battle is joined? Also is he fast enough to not get hit or durable enough soak? (No pun intended.)

He built equipment that can hurt Aquaman for one thing. He was also smart enough to execute a plan that led to Aquaman being forced to fight Aqualad and Aquababy's death.

As for speed, he dodged Aquaman and took hits from him.

Still iffy. My reasons. The prep to take Aquaman was prep built on a long time animosity. He learns of Logan and has 24 hours to learn about him and build a plan based on that. If his normal equipment can hurt Aquaman, or he can build something fast enough to hurt, that helps his case some. But if you ask me, Wolverine has durability that bests aquaman based on his Adamantium skeleton and healing factor. I also debate if Black Manta could take the claws and survive. Based on what I am hearing, this seems like it will be a good fight, but I am not ready to count Logan out based on what I know.

@RisingBean: Manta can hang with Aquaman so if he just holds Logan's arms down theres really nothing he could do about it.

Trying to hold somebody in the chaos of a fight to the point they can't even flick their wrist at you is a crazy notion to me. Based on what I am aware of, Manta would have a better chance using his tech on Logan and drowning him once he was KO'ed if he can pull it off. Short of being a Hulk level brick or having a healing factor getting within arms reach of Logan is a bad idea once PIS is out of the way.

@RisingBean: I don't really know much about Black Manta but apparently he's fought Aquaman underwater many times. Underwater Aquaman can lift thousands of tonnes so if Manta has that kind of power then restraining Wolverine who while having a powerful healing factor is only peak strength at best shouldn't be too difficult, and he should be able to avoid the claws since he's dodged blows from Aquaman who is much, much faster than Logan.

@Marco_Kidd: Black Manta is not an idiot. He will weaken Logan considerably before he tries drowning hm.

Manta has an oxygen tank so with Wolverines HF he could drown over and over until 1)the tank runs out 2) he breaks the suit 3)Wolverine drains the pool and makes sushi out of our friend here...for the hell of it i say Logan wins

Not really Wolverine will shut down physically once u drown him the first time.

A prepped Manta wins

Black Manta should win. He has almost every possible advantage. The only thing that Wolverine has on him is his healing factor, and even that shouldn't help him if he's drowning (I believe).

damnit i just saw the battlefield. this is unfair to logan

just because Black Manta is Aquaman's villain doesn't mean he can compete with him physically. He's definitely not as powerful as Aquaman is, not by a long shot. Spider-Man could beat Black Manta without too much effort. Wolverine can beat him aswell.

what's wolverine's durability against being electrocuted? that's Manta's biggest card here.

Prep could be an advantage for him too, depending on what's allowed.

but yeah, Manta isn't as powerful as Aquaman by a long shot. And though his lasers would definitely hurt wolverine, they obviously not gonna kill him

Manta is consistently unable to beat aquaman and he knows it, but he has to be capable of hanging with him. I don't see Logan hurting him enough to take him out.

@artyom: every time he grabs wolverine wolverine will take his arms off or maybe even his head and wolverine could block his range attacks with his claws.

Black Manta can use many ways to beat Logan easily
