Black Adam vs Orion

This is Black Adam from WW3, he is blood lusted and going on a killing spree in Super town until he is confronted by Orion. At the moment Orion arrives he sees Black Adam snap the neck of lightray, Orion goes bezerk and rushes at Black Adam and battle begins.

orion is almost on darkseids level, and he ( darkseid) was strong enough to take on the dc griek pantheon that gives power to captaine marvel. who is roughly the same as black adam, so i'll say orion because like i said he is more or less on darkseids level.

( I edited the punctuation because it was hard to understand what i was saying,)

@battlexlordx: Black Adam does not get his power from the Greek gods and Orion is not Darksied's equal..

Orion's got a better healing factor though. They're near equals in strength.

I think Black Adam would win if he played it smart and used the Shazam bolt effectively, but that's risky. Come to think of it, how fast is Heru?

@The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia: They are close to equals but not quite, DS still has him outclassed in almost every way. When BA lent the Flash that portion of his power the Flash's speed nearly doubled, so yeah he is pretty fast.

@CapitolPunishment: I'm just wondering who the last guy who attacked Black Adam with the intent to kill was. Still, WW3 was outright impressive for Adam.

Really? I thought it he had poor durability since Martian burned his face with his heat vision.

I'm leaning towards Orion. I think they may be about equal physically, but Orion's main advantage is the astro-force.

Mary Marvel seemingly tried to kill him in final crisis after she briefly took down Freddy Freeman and then went after Adam but he thrashed her pretty good even though he wasn't at full power. He would have killed her if Freddy didn't pull him off her.

Been done...twice. 

Orion's superior to Adam. WW3 was a PIS-fest.

World War 3 isn't even that impressive since most of them were holding back anyway and Adam's durability was laughable with getting his face burned by Martian's heat vision.

IIRC, there was a quote about Adam performing so well despite not being the strongest or fastest because he was out for blood.

I can say for certain that if Orion witnessed Lightray being murdered, he would not relent until either he or his opponent were 6 feet under.

@Hohenheim_of_light: Martian vision is no joke, I wouldn't call that laughable by any means, a full on blast of Martian vision would burn just about anyone's face, hell it atomized Furnes the burning, albeit he was weakened at the time but that's still no small feat. Supergirl's heat vision after many full force blasts did nothing to Mary Marvel at all, a few panels later BA nearly killed Mary in two blows and would have finished her if Freddy didn't pull him off.

I just found the others using google, user error I guess. :P. @The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia: Don't forget Buckshot, also I agree about Orion going into blood list mode here.

Yeah, Buckshot does a good job too. And it doesn't take much for Orion to get violent.

Mostly Static now. Occasionally other mods will drop by if they have nothing better to do, but I rarely see other mods actively write in the battle threads.

Buckshot, but he doesn't actively mod.

Black Adam takes this. He is surely a lot faster than Orion and could speed blitz him since his strength is comparable to superman.

I think Orion takes this. Mainly due to Astro Harness.

@CapitolPunishment: hehe sorry for the late reply i lost my password. I didn't say that black adam got his powers from the greek gods i said that he was more or less as strong as captain marvel and that captain marvel got his powers from the greek gods. And i said that orion is almost on darkseids level. ( although his powers can be interpreted differently by different people, i like to think that he is almost there but need some more time to get stronger.)

I'd take Orion over BA. It's like a superman without the vulnerability to magic plus the Astro-force.

Whole story. Adam's never been as powerful as that, and being pissed off shouldn't change a thing. Quite a few people in that group who fought him could have solo'd.

@CitizenBane: While I tend to agree for the most part I would say that being blood-lusted would make a difference with any character of that strength level. Apart from MM who do you think could have solo'd BA there? The Lanterns? I'm not really sure, just curious on your opinion. At least DC had the dignity to leave the big 3 out if it.

The details of all the people who fought him elude me, but Jay Garrick, Captain Marvel and Power Girl should each have been major obstacles. Jay fought Adam in an early issue of JSA v2, where he proved that he was faster than him. And in a later issue he stole Adam's speed as well. Marvel has beaten Adam in a physical fight in the past, and in Virtue and Vice he one-shotted Adam by absorbing his lightning and leaving him powerless. Kara fought a mind-controlled Adam during the JSA arc when the Ultra-Humanite used Thunderbolt's powers to turn many heroes evil, she put him down by throwing him into Atom Smasher. Later she fought Adam again and blasted him away with her heat vision.

The fact that these three + about a hundred more couldn't take down Adam is just ridiculous.

Orion is a beast but Black Adam is vicious. Black Adam will do anything to win including destroying everything and everyone around him. I think that lack of caring for even himself gets him past Orion (who is one of my favorite DC character)
