No prep, standard gear and power levels, etc. takes place in deserted metropolis.

Round 1. Morals on

Round 2. Morals off

Couldn't find just a straight up Adam vs Hal fight without extra rings or WW3 power levels or something.

Who wins?

And as we all know, dcuo isn't canon, so don't even bring it up.

BA round 1.

Hal round 2.

That was pretty much what I was thinking. As awesome as the cinematic trailer was, it was pretty... off.

I'm thinking with Morals On, it depends. If it's before SCW where Hal can't kill, then Black Adam can certainly kill Hal Jordan if Hal has to hold back. Black Adam would win that, since he's done well with Alan Scott in the past.

If it's after SCW where the Guardians changed the rules so that GLs can kill, then Hal Jordan can have a chance, but Hal would still hold back no matter what, so I still think Adam takes it 7/10 on that.

Round 2, with full morals off, Hal will go for the kill first thing, and can win 6/10 if he wants to, as his full potential was shown when he goes all out, which I think is too much for standard Adam to handle for the most part.

Assuming this is a warzone, Hal takes both rounds. If it's a standard procedure, "stop breaking shit and trying to be dictator of the world, Adam" then Adam should edge out Round 1.

Hal has zero qualms with killing if he feels it is necessary.

If Geoff Johns is writing the story, Hal would lose because his constructs are apparently made of fragile glass.

argh, that pisses me off, more Jim Lee's fault then Johns though, imo

@blackstripe: I know! They get broken every other second, and it just gets ridiculous. Maybe if he made constructs that were more creative than thin chains or a bubble they'd be stronger? XD

I think New 52 Adam can take a majority.

This. I mean, What is Adam going to do to Hal?

Hal has got those auto-shields, so it's not like Adam can blitz him.

And Hal is just too versatile and his constructs are just too strong.

....Usually.

Actually, usually they get broken outside of Green Lantern stories...

Hell, I'm just waiting for the day when Batman breaks one.

Round 1: Black adam doesn't have much of a morality so he most likely win

Round 2: Hal going full out should be enough to win

I really think Adam is above standard superman level beings. Even befor world war 3, he was soloing the jsa. Those paticular JSA's had members who were arguably superior to superman.

He's handled alan scott before. Alan is more powerful than Hal.

Adam both rounds but it's not going to be very easy for round 2.

  • Punch Hal to the sun

Not gonna happen, Black Adam doesn't have the feats to suggest that he's THAT much stronger than Hal. And he certainly isn't strong enough to demolish his constructs.

  • Kick him between his legs

Hal could do the same. That's a weak tactic.

  • Boil him with his lightning

Hal blocks the lightning with his constructs, then creates a black hole in his head.

  • ...Eat him....

Adam is on a diet, and Hal is nothing but calories.

Black Adam should be on Superman's level of durability, speed and strength if not higher and the magic.

#32 Posted by Blackstripe (47 posts) - - Show Bio

How DO constructs interact with magic, anyway?

Also, is Hal stronger than Alan Scott? I always thought Alan was stronger...

It was just dumb all around. I don't think anybody except Superman fanboys were truly happy with it. The scene where Teth punches Superman in the stomach to no effect was just pure PIS.

"Oh, but he's bloodlusted! He isn't holding BACK!" Well, that shouldn't mean anything in regards to his durability. I mean, you can pull your punches, but you can't make yourself take a punch worse. And why the hell would he ever do that, anyway?

"Derp! I think I'll allow his punches to physically injure me today!" ._.

#35 Posted by Beware_My_Power (3015 posts) - - Show Bio

@blackstripe: if they really weren't holding back, why didn't barry bfr everyone in an instant? WTF was he doing that entire time hal was fighting teth? -_-

Stomps? I can understand him winning but stomps?

#41 Posted by BoringPerson (2478 posts) - - Show Bio

@highaccuser: GL rings are capable of piercing through power ring defended Daxamites...

Some other guy was saying so many ring feats are taken from other characters, so in a way Hal has few modern feats... but most of them are ludicrously simple. Holding a planet together with two hand shaped constructs? I don't think anyone would argue Hal has less will than Kyle.
John Stewart's aiming for Superman's eyes? Anyone can aim for completely obvious weak points like eyes.

#42 Posted by dondave (38780 posts) - - Show Bio

@highaccuser: Yep. A morals off Hal can drop him with telepathy, go back in time and kill him while he's still a child, teleport him into a pocket dimension, his lantern or the Central Power Battery or slow down time and just blitz the hell out of him.

@dondave: GL's can't time travel unless there are several, and hal has telepathy? Does he ever use it offensively?

#46 Edited by dondave (38780 posts) - - Show Bio

@highaccuser: Where did you get that Theory from? Green Lantern's can time travel by themselves.

Part of Hal's plan in taking down the Justice League involves him dropping him with telepathy. Pieface used it to defeat Superman.

#47 Posted by EpicTayMan (2605 posts) - - Show Bio

Black Adam wins both rounds Hal simply can not match Adam's strength.

#48 Posted by highaccuser (7913 posts) - - Show Bio

@dondave: I read it somewhere. It was likely a wikia and those are actually pretty unreliable. Adam resisted MMH's telepathy, but unless hal actually enters BA's mind and reads it, he shouldn't be affected.

Also, is Hal stronger than Alan Scott? I always thought Alan was stronger...

He is, simply because he has an altogether different power source. Especially once he became sentinel. By that point he was going toe-to-toe with mordru and was considered the JSA's powerhouse when they had hourman one million on their team.

#49 Edited by dondave (38780 posts) - - Show Bio

@highaccuser: Well it's incorrect. Pieface with Hal's ring was able to time travel and he doesn't have anywhere near Hal's expertise with the ring.

Adam didn't resist Martian Manhunter's, telepathy. Martian Manhunter read his mind but didn't like what he found due to all the people Teth killed during World War III. That won't affect Hal due to the fact that he's killed more people than Teth.

Black Adam for both, and I dont think it is hard.
