Well, in The Mighty Thor #404 he had Thor beaten via incapacitation, and in The Mighty Thor #405 he beat Balder, and it was only then that Thor was able to free himself. At that point, Annihilus had already left to attempt to kill Odin. Odin was weakened by a seizure, and Thor arrived to his defense and a very motivated Thor (who wanted to quickly finish Annihilus because he sensed Erik Masterson's son was in danger) and Annihilus were stalemated until a rejuvenated Odin intervened and BFR Annihilus.

I haven't read it, but I understand Annihilus pretty easily killed Quasar as well, which is pretty impressive.

@BringnIt: Annihilus defeated Thor in The Mighty Thor #404 because Asgard passed into the Negative Zone while they were fighting, and that increased his power. He also fought Masterson's Thor in The Mighty Thor #435 and was winning (partly because he'd absorbed some of Odin's power while he slept) until Masterson threw Mjolnir at the Cosmic Control Rod, sparking a chain reaction that blew up Annihilus.

Bill should win. Annihilus does not really have any combat speed to speak of, and his base strength and durability are only higher than Ben Grimm's at best. He curbstomped Quasar, true, but Quasar's powers are all energy-based and Annihilus has a weapon that drains all kinds of energy. He could absorb lightning if Bill attacks him that way, but if Bill decides to catch him by the throat and just beat the living daylights out of him there's very little he can do about that.

Nova killed Annihilus after Annihilus was exhausted from enduring an attack from Galactus that wiped out three solar systems. Rider even made a statement to that effect.

Johnny beat Annihilus when he didn't have the CCR and while he was pre-occupied with fending off the Light Brigade. I have lost count of the number of times Annihilus has kicked Johnny's ass both with and without the CCR. Hell, he just walked through Johnny's nova like it was nothing.
