Best Battles in New Comics: 07/26/13

That Batman/Superman art is wonderful. But Supermans faces look kind weird.

I looved the Hulk and Carol 'team-up' against Hyperion was so good!!! Loved that bit! Batman/Superman fights were great too.

@barkley: Its not so much that he wants to be a hero its just hes obsessed with out doing his worst enemy. his #1 goal is to be a better spiderman than peter. by reading the books you can tell hes still a murderer however he starting to change mainly because within peters body it gives him a fresh start. he can suddenly accomplish things that he couldn't do with his own body. Doc ock always complained how people didn't take him seriously and he wasn't as recognized scientifically as stark, pym or Richards... but within peters body he can accomplish that he can invent stuff and progress with his life without being hunted down by S.H.E.I.L.D for being a mass murderer...

And um... bland? I wouldn't call it bland you can call it alot of things but not bland Lol every issue changes the status quo every issue hes doing something new and interesting (like using his tech skills to create an spider army) hes basically taking spiderman places peter was to complacent to go. peter gets innovative but over all he basically stays the same. doesn't permanently upgrade never get proactive about crime fighting ect.... but thats just my opinion peter is supposedly coming back real soon though based on the new art that was released.

im mean bland because it has no heart....he may be better at being efficient and clever to a degree...if e get pushed to save lives or himself....I know what Peter would do....spideyock..not so much...this would good story for about 5 issues...now it just bothers me....if the premise is wrong no matter how good the writing is..... its just not for me

The first and second one are good, but the referring Superior Spidey as SpOck? Starting to really annoy me...

Was thinking the same thing. How the heck does Cage not effortlessly break free ... makes no sense. Unless he had JUST been webbed and was very temporarily restrained (like, the second it took Fist to kick Parker) ... I dunno. Seems silly.

Writers and artists are really going to have to work harder all round. Comic fans are demanding more and more thought and sophistication in their reads. Harder and harder to just turn our minds off and accept crap we know shouldn't fly.

I would have depicted Cage in the midst of ripping through the webbing or something ... and then it begs the question, are we supposed to assume Parker actually defeated those heroes? I think both Iron Fist and Cage together should take a strong majority over SpOck. Guess he could take out Dr. Strange if we're to assume he got the drop on him. But, whatever.

He didn't really defeat them. He was just following a virus. We don't see anything other then what is shown.

All though if its worth anything Otto was using impact webbing in amazing spider-man 700 which was designed to hold super humans. Admittedly yes Cage should have been able to rip the wall to escape.

Second of all Yost is writing. Considering what happened in Avenging Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider to Logan, I don't think this is too bad (as long as carrion didn't know Strange's spells).

Edit. Considering Logan's current state.......... wait I won't kick a man when he is down. But I will throw more razors at him >:DDDD

Following a virus, yet dealing with their hosts how? Was he hitting, administering the antidote, then running?

Guess we can assume he was using some kind of super duper impact webbing ... still lazy writing / penciling due to the fact Cage could sneeze down a brick wall. Guess I'm starting to expect more from the creative teams over at Marvel and DC :P
