Bellatrix Lestrange vs a bloodlusted Snape

Bellatrix has just killed Lily Potter and taunts Snape, because she knows that Snape was in love with Lily. Snape is enraged and the two begin to duel. Who wins?

Bloodlusted Snape is weaker than regular Snape I'd say. Although I'd see him winning if JK Rowling was writing, just cause of the power of love. By feats Snape probably loses, it depends on if Bellatrix can use Occlumency in combat and even then it's still probably in her park considering her insane speed and skill.

Any bloodlusted HP character just uses the ol' Avada Kedavra one two and takes it.

Exactly, Snape is not going to be screwing around. He's going to bring out the big guns and just kill her on the spot.

In Half-Blood Snape beats Harry and is taunted to almost strike a (lethal?) magic blow before Buckbeak comes to the rescue. So even a bloodlusted Snape should beat Bellatrix unless he's too fixated on revenge and misses something on his blind spot.

Snape was only second to Dumbledore, even Macgonagul isn't on par. Snape was a genius, even the Dark Lord trusted his council.

It's close. Bellatrix has better dueling feats, but Snape is a more powerful magic user overall.

Snape wins imo he is 4th in hp rankings surpased only by the big three voldy albus and grindelwald. And bella would use normal spells first but a bloodlusted snape would go for AK or sectumsempra her throat.

Lol do people realize that this isn't a popularity contest ? Snape has absolutely no feats who put him at Bellatrix level, he cannot even use legilimency on her his only hope to be among the top duellist, she is has better reflexes, has the best track record of kill of the death eaters. Heck she was said to be Voldemort's number 2.

@parichithayerakala: It doesn't work like that, duelling is a sport, it requires physical abilities and Bellatrix surpasses him in that area.

Edit: Bloodlusted Snape is a bad idea, seeing how his duelling abilities would rely more on his calm he will get pretty much stomped if he tried to play Bellatrix game.

What does Snape gain from blood-lust exactly?

Anyways Bellatrix slaughters if we go by dueling feats. By scaling and implication of power she takes Snape in a semi decent fight.

This is soooooooo much better of a fight than people Think. I actually still take Snape based on his implied power (and the fact that other death eaters were scared of him). I know I will NEVER win that argument due to the fact that Snape had no combat feats from the books. That is due to his character and the double agent role that he played but Snape is so skilled and so diverse in what he can do.

My general opinion has always been that the big 3 Hogwarts professors (McGonagall, Snape, Flitwick) are comfortably above Aurors and Deatheaters. The only possible exceptions to this rule is Bellatrix and Dolohov. I do think they are either on par or at least close to Bella. Flitwick already showed that he could defeat Dolohov.

I am backing Snape, even though Bella undoubtedly has better feats.
