BEATBOKS1 Amalgam Tournament.

The concept - Build a new character based of aspects of others. This being

The body of one - Physical aspects only. From this character you get their strength, speed, endurance, agility and durability.

The mind of another - learned things of another only powers or abilities that come with this would be learned no TP etc

The powerset of a third - Powers that aren't based on the physicality of the body

choice of a weapon or device of power. - limit could be below planetary on all choices

Limits

Body

• Strength max at 90 ton
• Speed max mach 20
• no-one functionally indestructible ( must be able to be harmed in some way)
• healing factor below Logan's

Mind

• NO experience that can't be reasonably attained in a life time
• No Omniscience
• with the mind would come anything that person can reasonably build but that wont allow Hax Items (just in case Cadence is thinking of having Ult Reed build another Cosmic Cube ;D
• Only the powers that are the result of being actually learned or can be produced from that knowledge will be a part of this this pick ( so you would get a tech guy's armor/weapons if that is your choice BUT that would mean you loose the choice of power device

Powerset

• Nothing that exceeds the above
• energy projection below Vulcan ( note that is below he isn't the cut off he's over the limit
• TP/TK below standard Jean Grey ( no picking any type of pheonix, just NO. and hey it rules out most of my favorite TP/TKers too)
• no time manip

Weapon/device

• Same levels as above ( so for example the choosing of a power talisman couldn't make a normal human more than above)
• NO HAX Items
• No auto win devices.

Remember for a body pick you'll only get the physicals, for a mind only learned knowledge and powerset cover the rest.

These are the limitations per pick. That isn't to say you can't choose characters who's merger will take your newly formed character well over these limits. That's the tricky bit, trying to build a world buster without using world busting powers.

Reasons: Luke Cage is'nt indestructible, but he's very durable on his own. With the Ray's powerset, his primarily solar powered armor will never run out of power. With Dr. Irons mind, Cage's brawn would be matched by some serious brains. And finally, with the MK III Armor/Kinetic Hammer, he'd have even more durability, long range targeted attack options, and the energy projection he's had to do without all this time. This guy would be awesome. IMO.

Shouldn't. That's his physical. His power is the power absorption and adaptation.

If you read the rules then you would know that if you pick an item that your person has no inherent knowledge of how to work, then it won't work.

Also, I think your highly overestimating Rorschach's intelligence. He's a crazed religious fanatic, who has a very narrow view of morality. He's not a genius by any means.

Atrocitus has some enhanced stats, but nothing worthwhile honestly. If you're planning on using a lantern ring to begin with, then a person's physical stats (strength, speed, durability) aren't really necessary. You should probably pick someone who has some good durability or regeneration, since your ring is doing the heavy lifting. Perhaps you should go with Wolverine's body and Atrocitus' mind/Sinestro's mind if you're planning on using a lantern ring.

It's all good, but tell me more about this duplicator gauntlet.

If you havent listed a team before we start you will be out. it's just plain unfair for one player to list his team after seeing opening debates from potential opponents. there'll be time.

A lantern rings allows the wielder to be class 100+. That's how people like Kilowag can duke it out with Supes and win. Atrocitus with his ring allows him to fight Martian Manhunter and Apollo, the same Martian Manhunter who was fighting the entire New-52 Justice League. I just don't think that their physical stats are that important if you're going to be using a lantern ring. Perhaps you should pick someone who can regenerate for body type and has fast reflexes so they can make better use of the power ring.

Uh, I don't think any ring is necessarily stronger than the other. The strongest color would either be black or white, but those are most likely not allowed since they're pretty OP.

Standard Amazo comes with the powers of the entire Justice League lol.

@darkraiden: Amazo is automatically programmed with the Justice League's powers. Unless you want the crap one from Under the Hood but it was just a drone.

Super Adaptoid at his base does not come with any powers.

In terms of power copying, I would think Mimic would be the limit.

Yeah, but Super Adaptoid also managed to copy the power of the Nega Bands...so he could copy a lot of the items here.

He is over on both these. Hell his strength is Superman + Wonder Woman + Martian manhunter. Speed all those three plus Flash AND more.

And this and ALL are powers for him. Not to mention several dozen OTHER powers. Super Adaptiod, Meggan and Absorbing man don't have a single stat that is over limits. Power copying on it's own will only let you copy powers available, not bring a bucket load of others to start. As far as Doomsday the HF limit was listed as below Logan. Call me crazy but i would call anyone who can evolve after death so that what killed them no longer does to be WAY over Wolverine HF.

But you'd need to prove you had a mind who could use it to copy things on that level. Some amalgams should end up with greater powers than any of the choices in a team would have because A unlocks B increasing it's power and c's as well. Similarly there might be a body that has powers where by choosing the right mind you actually unlock the powers of said body too.

Since Diredrill already gets the Iron Giant to manipulate with Madison Jeffries powers, shouldn't he not be allowed a power item under this:

Perhaps I'm misinterpreting what you were trying to say, but I would categorize the Iron Giant as a tech guy's armor/weapons.

In the movie, the Iron Giant has a flashback and it is revealed that it was an alien robot used to conquer planets.

Also, that thing tanked a nuke at point blank range by flying into it with no apparent injury to itself, other than the fact it blew up into pieces, but easily reformed itself later.

That rule is only for the mind pick. When you pick a mind character you would get what they learn so if they learned to build armor that would be your "weapon/power item" (if you choose to take it) and you therefore give up the power item. Forge doesn't have any standard armor and it wasn't stated to be with it so he can still choose a weapon/power Item.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember an Amazo that ended up copying the Worligog and it didn't seem to have any other powers that power copying. If that doesn't exist, a base Amazo with none of their powers, then I'll take Darwin.
