Beatboks amalgam tourney round set up now round 2

All battles will take place here

In the magical land that time forgot of Skataris. The dimensional gateways to this world are sealed and all those with the power of dimensional travel will be unable to breach this barrier. their travel will be confined within the time lost land.

Combatants will have four weeks of prep but that prep will be in Skataris with the resources available there only. Combatants will begin at the tops of the two mountain ranges on opposite sides of Skataris.

RULES

These characters are amalgams of the choices made. They are a completely new character. each character will get

• from the Body - physical aspects only. Strength, speed, durability, endurance, damage soak and healing
• From the mind the learned things and character of the mind. They will have none of the powers of these characters unless those powers are the direct result of learned behavior.
• from the powerset - the powers. This will NOT include anything physical in nature.
• from the item whatever the item can bring when wielded by the mind and body chosen. If an item requires a particular physicality or character trait to perform certain tasks that is not a part of this build than they will be denied that aspect of the item.
• POST LIMIT - in light of the many tourneys lately becoming war and peace all battles will be restricted to 7 battle posts plus one summation post where you can make closing arguments but NOT add any new information not offered before hand. Debaters can uses the 7 however they see fit to make their case. This should hopefully make it an easier read and more likely to actually get some votes
• When down to voting all votes MUST be on the debate offered not on who you think should have won.
• Debate will be open for a maximum of 5 days before closed by me once a thread starts
• Characters who have the power of power duplications/copy, can only copy the powers as they fit within draft choices and can only unlock more potential of their own character build has that capability.

These amalgams may have the ability to use these powers or physicals to greater levels than the chosen drafts IF they can make a reasonable and believable explanation as to why they have unlocked such ability because of how they have built the character. For example a character chosen in a body slot may be able to have it's powers used if either the mind, power or the item can reasonably be used to access them. Similarly with the powers etc.

@beatboks1 I thought Mr. Ingenuity replaced the Power Dampener with Mr. Everywhere's gauntlet or w/e. He said you guys agreed it was too OP.

@darkraiden: No I decided to keep, plus he allowed it, & you could have picked Everywhere's gauntlet he allows dupes.

Oh...well damn.....Now i feel bad that I didn't pick it. Also....doesn't this make you impossible to beat? I mean maybe with items but then Super Adaptoid.....I congratulate you on your victory.

Also a rule I forgot but one I mentioned in the draft thread. power duplicators will only be able to copy the powers of the draft as the choice would allow unless something about their build can unlock potential. so only rhe physicals of a body etc etc

Typically she's just a building buster, but when Modeus (the guy I have as mind) took her mind over he expanded her powerset so that she could hit with the force of a supernova

And Ult aurora becomes FTL with Ult banshee so it's just the ultimate beat stick lol

@beatboks1: Well, she's pretty close if she's not over. I'm not very familiar with Vulcan's feats, so I can't say for sure. For the record, though, the character build I would be using with her powers would very strongly minimize how effective her powers would be during combat itself, because of the speaking backwards limitation. She opens up important options during prep and a few minor advantages during combat, but I don't intend to use any of her highest-level spells, and I probably couldn't argue for the ability to access them, anyway.

Uh Vulcan doesn't really have any feats other than being Darwin-Infused so I'd assume we're using Darwin-Infused Vulcan

Darwin-Infused Vulcan was...mmm a continent buster I'd say. He was seriously hurting Gladiator with his attacks, the same Gladiator who got exploded along with an enormous battleship and was like 'huh?'.

But I am a bit of a Vulcan fanboy (just a taaad) so other people prolly disagree with me.

Which Jean Grey is the limits? B/c Kid Omega was specifically less powerful than the one in Phoenix: Endsong, but he was also > Professor X just like basically every version of Jean Grey.

But if you're using a weird version of Jean Grey who isn't > Professor X that would make Kid Omega too OP.

Because some people continue to maintain, in the face of overwhelming evidence, that base Jean Grey < Professor X and Kid Omega, which is flatly false as shown in Phoenix Endsong.

But if he really means 'less than Professor X' than Kid Omega would be out.

You get the claws, but your character's mind must know how to access them. If your character has no inherent knowledge that he possesses claws, then I don't see how he's going to have them pop up.

@omgomgwtfwtf: The Claws are actually instinctive and he has to will them to stay in his arms not the other way around.

Aurora's only appearances where were she was on Banshee, and she could move faster than light. We have no idea how slow she is if she isn't on Banshee but she's probably far above Mach. 20 all things considered. I would move to block her if I'm honest. But again that's not fair because you're going up against me and now you can adapt your team as you see fit.

Actually. Screw it, I'm okay with how it is. My character/plan is more than able to take down DLP, Bring it on.

@backflip: Honestly I completely lost track of his constant changes. I go tired of checking crap out. If you think it's an issue I'll DQ Ult. Aurora and by his own stipulations Kid Omega ( who apparently over early X-men/standard Jean Grey)

@beatboks1: Well the thing with Ult. Aurora is, she has nothing to prove that she operates normally below Mach 20. In fact, even from the beginning her 616 version has always operated at approaching Lightspeed or at the very least Escape velocity (Mach 35). However, I'm content to leave it because I can sure as hell bet what his strategy is, and I know exactly how to blow a hole in it.

Well typically Aurora and Northstar are equal, and Ult. Northstar w/o Ult. Banshee definitely wasn't above Mach 20.

The plan was to take Northstar and dose him up with Ult. Banshee, but they overdosed him so he got crippled. I have the issues right here, Ultimate X-Men #94 - Absolute Power, Part 1 of 4, Ultimate X-Men #95 - Absolute Power, Part 2 of 4, Ultimate X-Men #96 - Absolute Power, Part 3 of 4, and Ultimate X-Men #97 - Absolute Power, Part 4 of 4.

Ult. Alpha Flight pops in and takes Northstar; they try to lift off the ground but Colossus, who is lovers with Northstar, is holding the jet back.

Aurora pops down and we see a fade to black, and she says 'Fight's over, mon abruti. Let go.' and Colossus replies 'Never'. Aurora says 'You're truly in love? It would almost be romantic if it weren't so desperate. You have no idea what you're up against. I can move faster than light --and I can steal it away from you.' Then Colossus can't see anything and his connection to the outside world is cut off; next panel light is back, Alpha Flight's ship is flying off, and Aurora says 'Au revoir, homme de bidion' while Colossus reaches out for it.

And yeah my plan is really simple. I was just like 'EFF IT!' and made a beatstick, lol.

Kid Omega was specifically < Jean Grey in Phoenix: Endsong...so yeah. And she was at standard levels then. He was also inferior to her in the Ultimates universe, if that means anything.

Soo my team should be under the limits.

@thedarklordpandamonium Aurora is over the limits probably and Quire is fine as the mind but his powers are definitely above Jean Grey (In Endsong she had the Phoenix). Anyway, as I said, I'm fine with it as it is. So do you want to create the match?
