Our latest Character of the Month, Damian Wayne, a.k.a. Robin, isn't doing too shabby in this segment. He obliterated Hit-Girl, his first opponent, but then lost to Raphael after a much closer race. For his third and penultimate fight (that's right, there's one more!), we wanted to switch things up just a bit. Instead of throwing Batman's son into another one on one brawl, we thought it would be fun to have his father, the Dark Knight, fight by his side! Batman's a beast in combat and Damian has plenty of experience, but can this team defeat Marvel'sDaredevilandElektra?
We all know Bruce Wayne has the skill, experience, and equipment necessary to give either opponent all kinds of trouble, but what about his child? Does Damian have what it takes to hold his own against either of these Marvel characters or will his father need to save him? The community has been debating about this fight since Monday and the poll is now closed. According to the voters, Batman and Robin win!
The father and son took 56% of the votes and the two swift Marvel characters earned 38%. Only 6% thought this one is too close to call, meaning both sides have a roughly equal chance of winning. Look, Damian Wayne's good at what he does. Like, really good. The kid is only 10-years-old, yet he began training with the League of Assassins when he was 3-years-old and has what it takes to completely humiliate goons that are at least twice his age. He's danced around bullets and even gotten the better of several heroes, but if he goes up against Daredevil or Elektra in a straight up fight, that's going to be a huge uphill struggle for the kid.
Given his arrogance, he'll test his luck against them in close combat because he thinks he has what it takes to beat them head-on. But this is something he needs to avoid if he wants to last awhile against either opponent or possibly even defeat him. The good news is, his father is also in this fight and, even if he's busy fighting an opponent of this own, Wayne will absolutely do whatever he can to assist his son. In just a single second or so, Batman can toss a projectile at Damian's enemy and then stay focused on his own. He's good like that.
Damian staying on the move and utilizing his gear would be the best bet for him and that would give his father the time he needs to defeat his own opponent, but given Damian's ego, hit and run tactics are very unlikely to be his first approach. Because of that, he's likely going to be the first to fall in this battle. Sure, you can debate that Batman would beat Daredevil or Elektra and he'll do what he can to help his son, but both of the Marvel characters have the potential to keep Bruce on his toes. Batman may have the edge in gear and skill, but Daredevil and Elektra have the technique and physicals to give him trouble. It doesn't seem likely that Batman would walk all over either opponent and, given the fact Damian is the least impressive when it comes to skill and experience, it's probable the little dude will be the first to fall. Then, it's Batman taking on the two Marvel characters and this is where things get very interesting.
How will Batman react after his son is defeated? It's not likely Murdock or Elektra would do major damage to the kid -- they'd probably knock him out or incapacitate him -- so Batman letting loose and really unleashing doesn't seem to be the most likely follow-up. However, he will be determined to win, especially since his son is vulnerable. If he engages these two in a purely hand-to-hand contest, it would be a magnificent thing to witness and most definitely a story that many of us would happily pay $3.99 to see. Given the fact his son isn't safe and he's outnumbered, it isn't far-fetched to believe Batman will begin to use his equipment as he holds his own against these two in a contest of skill.
A little bit of knockout gas from his wrist would be a swift way to drop one and, as we all know, he has plenty of other options at his disposal. Electric would be equally effective and, while he does have sonics, it's not clear how likely it would be for him to resort to using it. It's possible, though, since it would faze a majority of enemies, and he'd then see it's very effective against Matt. That said, if he uses smoke pellets and thinks that gives him a bit of safety, he'd quickly learn he's mistaken since that wont hinder Daredevil and Elektra's also superb when it comes to stealth. Still, a majority of the voters think the Caped Crusader and his son have what it takes to win this fight, even if Bruce needs to take on both challengers all by himself. Some are probably scoffing at that opinion, but given Batman's sharp tactical mind, phenomenal hand-to-hand abilities, commendable armor, huge variety of weapons and the fact his son is in danger, it's not total nonsense that he could eventually overcome the odds. Now, let's see what some Viners had say about this match!

Whether Robin starts out fighting Daredevil or Elektra, he is going to be KO'd, but not quickly.
Whoever starts out fighting Batman, whether DD or Elektra, is also getting KO'd, but not quickly.
That's assuming they immediately pair off into isolated 1v1 battles. If that does happen, it will come down to Batman Vs. [whomever fought Robin], and Batman wins that match up either way. Bruce has more stamina than any fighter here, not to mention more durability, more skill, greater strength, and a lot more gear versatility. DD's radar sense isn't going to offer much advantage against either opponent, in my opinion. They are too smart and too well-trained.
If this becomes more of a teamwork battle, I'd say Batman and Robin have the advantage there as well; I feel like they should be more used to fighting together as a cohesive unit.

Backing DD and Elektra, Damian is the weak link that gives team 2 the edge. Team one may have sonics, but they don't have the knowledge that they would be especially useful for this match. Added to that is the fact that sonics aren't necessarily an auto win against DD anyway, he has pushed through and resisted them before. Elektra's own impressive level of skill compared to Damian's is what really gives team two the edge imo. What I mean by this is that, if she winds up fighting Damian she has the skill and abilities to make it a fairly short fight, Damian can put up a fight certainly, but he isn't lasting for a very long time. DareDevil fighting Batman, on the other hand, is a long and vicious fight. While DD may be a step below Batman in terms of Martial Arts skill (as a DD fan it really hurts me to say this D':) the thing that really lets him hold his own is his radar sense and superior reaction speed. Batman can't use stealth or sight based diversions on DD, Matt can track him by his heart beat alone and smoke pellets and other such diversions rely on messing with the opponents line of sight, which Matt (fortunately or unfortunately) doesn't have. Bruce will have a hard time using any kind of ranged weaponry against Matt as well, once again radar sense. DD can deflect and dodge anything Bats throws at him. Bruce has no real hope of catching Matt by surprise with a ricochet or boomerang shot either because DD's radar sense has a 360 degree field of view. They would wind up closing in for CQC fairly quickly, with DD's superior agility, speed, and senses I think Matt can hold his own long enough for Elektra to beat Damian and then move to help him take down Bats.
Elektra vs. Batman wouldn't be a very fair matchup, Elektra is good don't get me wrong, unfortunately Bruce is just that much better, she is out of her depth here. However Elektra has the showings and skills to put up a decent fight and make Bruce at least try for each win, if only a little bit. On the other hand DD vs. Damian, is borderline spite. Matt takes down Damien so fast it's not even funny, then moves to help Elektra with Batman, resulting in a two on one that Bruce eventually loses.
The key thing here is that while Batman may take down DD or Elektra, the length of time in which he does so, no matter how quickly he manages to do it, is guaranteed to take longer than the time either Matt or Elektra would need to take down Damian. All in all, Damian is simply not in the other three's league, whoever he winds up fighting, either Matt or Elektra, beat him soundly. He can make a fairly impressive stand but in the end he goes down. While both Matt and Elektra can hold their own against Bruce long enough for their partner to finish Damian and then help them take out Bats. Team 2, 6-7/10 with team 1 making them work for it every time.

It all depends on who can beat who the fastest so the other can tag team. Will Batman beat Elektra or Daredevil fast enough to help Damian with his opponent or will Damian get overwhelmed thus leaving Batman to fight for himself? I'd put both Matt and Elektra over Damian but you also have to take into account the gear the Dynamic Duo has. Damian doesn't have to out fight either of team Marvel. He can just simply distract them. Added to this is Batman knowing his son is in danger, thus having him fight A LOT harder than Matt or Elektra will be. His gear combined with his greater technical skill on top of trying to save Damian should push him through whoever he's fighting so that he can help Damian out. Damian himself has proved that he can hold his own against skilled fighters who are indeed above him. Note that with their teamwork, if someone gets overwhelmed, they can tag out and switch opponents as well. It's very close but I would have to give the slight edge to the Dynamic Duo. Their gear and teamwork will let them win. 6/10
