The fight takes place in Gotham City.

Both are in character.

Standard weapons.

Start 10 ft. away.

Bruce curbstomps each and every round, without fail.

Clean sweep, 10/10 absolute victory.

Although if this was from the Nolan movies, Comedian stomps

2. Batman 6/10 times
3. The Comedian 7/10 times

How does Comedian not get stomped every single round?

@comicstooge: Well he's not a complete moron jeeze. In Watchmen he is stated as being capable of going toe to toe with Ozymandias, (not the night he was thrown through a window). Bats takes the prep round easy obviously. Hand to hand, well He is a trained soldier after all. It's implied that he isn't a pushover. Random encounter (without prep) with some of his standard equipment and training I think he stands a pretty fair chance.

the problem is that we seem to be talking about the comic comedian right now and not the movie comedian........ the watchmen comic was not even close to the badass portrayal of the watchmen movie....... look at rorschach in the movie..... a total badass, who kicked some major ass and in the comic he was a total loser, who did absolutely nothing right and got his ass beat by everyone including random thugs.........

comic batman vs comic comedian = batman stomps
movie batman vs movie comedian = comedian pretty convincingly, because the watchmen there were more than just peak humans one would say

@mezame: I've never actually seen the movie to be honest. Ozymandias, someone whose beyond peak human slightly (caught a bullet out of the air), stated that The Comedian gave him trouble in combat. So he should have some ability to stand up to the bat, no where near overwhelmingly win mind you.

comedian has no answer for batmans gadgets and comedian also does not have durability feats, which prove that he can resist being electrified by batmans shock gloves, or badly injured by batmans explosive or his acid batarangs, sooooo..... and all of that is standard gear for batman, so even in random encounters he could beat comedian quickly

Movie Versions: Comedian stomps.

Comic Versions: I'd say Batman's got this for the first two rounds and maybe the Comedian can take the last one.

Round 1: Both have 1 week to prep. Batman Stomps, he's a plot device prep Monster.

Round 2: H2H. Batman should still win. 8/10

Round 3: Random encounter. Batman Still stomps, Comedian has no answer for his gadgets.

@mezame: I'll drop down to 6/10 in favor of batman, but I really think everyone is underselling Comedian still.

This is a drastically unfair match.

The Comedian is just a fairly well trained retired soldier with a gun. That is it.
