Batman's stronger, faster, more skilled, has high tech gear and overall much better training. He has a myriad of ways to disable/ take down Widow easily.

For the sake of the debate I'll put my vote on Black Widow. My reasoning is that she much like Batman possess several weapons on her person and unlike Bruce she does not have any moral issues about using them lethally. This along with several years of working alongside many people of superhuman abilities and still being able to keep up further increases her chances of victory. We must all remember that this is a random encounter fight and in those cases Bruce won't be at his most powerful.

Batman, close fight due to Playboy Bruce being unable to lethally wound a pretty girl.

Fine fair enough, I'll bite.

She possess weapons yes, but few of them have been shown with the scope and versatility that batman has. Similar too how the Punisher or Deathstroke have a lot of good gear too but lack the same versatility, focusing more on a specific job. Batman also has more "counter" gear that will nullify her options like magnets and weaponized EMP devices and far superior body armor. If Batman's gear is arguably better AND he can strip her of her gear then he wins on the Gear front.

Working along side superhumans isn't really a skill or feat persay honestly but Bruce also wins on that front. He works alongside the JL and keeps up and has even started a few super teams by himself and has at multiple points been the leader of said teams including the JL. It's also arguabl that JL>Avengers so the level of superhumans bruce has been keeping up with is even better. SO he wins on the "Works with Superhumans front" too.

Random encounters aren't where Bruce is at his best but he is still damn good, just not against people outside of his weight class unless he totally eclipses them skill wise. And while I don't think he totally eclipses Black Widow in the skill department he is undoubtedly more skilled than her by feats and pedigree and in adition this is one of the few fight where he is dominating in the stat department. He is Stronger, Faster, Smarter, a better tactician.

Widow's only advantages are Morals and Agility which is debatable.

Batman should win 10/10 honestly but I'll give Widow a nice 1/10

@rbt: He wouldn't even land a punch. Bale Batman is fodder in MU.

Can anything be said for Widows superior experiance.

@mtuske: Yeah. Tell that to those SWAT officers. Or League of Assassin members. Widow's best feats are taking out fodders. Baleman's best feats are taking out fodders. Only difference is he has taken out bettrr fodders than her.

@69ball-z-deep: Quality over quantity. Ra's has more "experience" than both by decades, centuries even. Doesn't mean much if the younger characters are just flat out more skilled. The quality of Bruce's training is expounded upon much more, has much more to show for, and thus is more impressive than Natasha's. And to say she's seen more action in eleven years than he has since he was training around his teens is flat out ridiculous.

in a very hard fight it could be Bruce

Widow is a super solider, absolute peak to what a woman can do and as skilled as anyone not in the Elektra tier of fighters.

@69ball-z-deep: What feat exactly? Her h2h feat include taking out half a dozen bodyguards. Bruce took out a dozen SWAT officers. Fully equipped SWAT officers>>>Bodyguards.

Her other feats are taking out a few Chitauris. Those Chitauris were getting hit by anything and everything that tried to hit them. Including falling debris.

She almost lost to Hawkeye who is featless as well.

Bruce has aim dodged bullets, defeated opponents who has same training as him. Heck, he took out 6 men BEFORE his training.

@rbt: Widow was holding her own against WS and would have killed him if it wasn't for the eye piece blocking that bullet. Baleman wouldn't last 30 seconds against him. Widow nearly killed him twice. Didn't Baleman have trouble with dogs

Also didn't he have help with the Swat soldiers.

Nolanverse Batman is a straight up weakling. dont let fanboyizm make you that blind. Most Batman fans disregard Nolans Batman completly as a threat and just retreat back to the comics or cartoons for a respectable Batman. And wow...just wow to the people who actully try to use the SWAT guys as a feet. that was all prep trickery. Widow takes on her much stronger alien opponents head up. not choosing sides here i just thought those feats were weak.

@mtuske: Hse was holding her against WS? Lol, no. She jumped on him from behind and tried to strangle him. When that didn't work she threw an emp at him and ran away. Though I agree that WS would defeat Baleman.

Widow barely survived her first encounter with him. All she did was try to run away from him and still got shot. When waa the other time they fought?

Baleman had no help with SWAT IIRC.

And he didn't loose to dogs. He actually managed to defeat him but was caught by Joker because his cowl lens malfunctioned.

Not to join the bandwagon, but I don't see how Widow can win. Movie Black Widow would be able to, sure, but Batman in the comics is out of her league. If Bruce can hold his own against Shiva for even one minute, Widow can't compare.

@rbt: She planted traps by blowing up a car near him later hit him from behind confusing where she was and took a clean shot to the face. Blocked by an eye piece. Rewatch that seen. He had the upper hand but she held her own. Batman wouldn't have lasted 30 seconds.

With the Swat he stealth attacked if I remember and was being told the location of everyone I think.

@mtuske: Watch the Bats vs SWAT scene. Batman trapped all of then without any of them suspecting anything. He's a more strategical fighter than Widow. He never had to hide and was successfully able to outsmart his opponents.

Wow. So she fired at an unsuspecting target (Bucky didn't know she was down the bridge) and still couldn't kill him. Great feat.

Bats wouldn't last 30 seconds? He has great durability because of suit. He took a bullet at point blank range. Fell from a skyscraper without hurting himself. He'd loose against Bucky, but it sure won't be that easy. Heck, with PIS off and pre knowledge, Bruce would actually defeat Bucky with his KO batarangs.

As for Widow vs Bats

Skill- Bats has better feats. More of less equals.

Strength- Bruce. By a wide margin.

Durability- Bruce by an even wider margin.

Equipments- Widow's electric disk would be useless. And Bruce has aim dodged before. So Bruce here as well.

Battle mind- Bruce easily. Watch Bats vs SWAT and you'll agree.

Bruce only knew which floor he SWAT team was on, that's it.

Widow would punch him a couple of times, Bruce won't feel a thing.(he tanked Bane's concrete shaterring punches). Then he'll catch her hand and beat her bloody.

@rbt: Batman only has durability because of his suit. He's so as dirt I don't even think he could beat Hawkeye hand to hand. Pretty pathetic speed and just brings nothing to the table that Black Widow couldn't take d i wn in minutes. That's being generous. He's way to sliw to be a threat to anyone who doesn't move like a snail or throw mindless haymamkers

He's slow and all, but he'd still defeat Widow.

@rbt: He's to slow to even hit her that's my point. His fight scenes are only slightly more impressive than the Karate kids first tournament. He's outclassed.
