Could Batman blow up the Death Star all by himself?
Batman v. the Death Star
Sparda says:
"JBElliott says:"Could Batman blow up the Death Star all by himself?"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha........
no."
Why not?
He'd download the specs. See the weakness and put some explosive in just the right spot. Then BANG ZOOM TO THE MOON goes the Death Star.
Dreadnaught says:
"He would be killed by stormtroopers in the span of a few milliseconds. If he tried to fly an X-wing or any other kind ofspacecraft he would be destroyed by the Turbolasers or by the Superlaser it's self."
Agreed. And God help him if Vader finds out he's there.

Or worse Yet. Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine himself.

who said vader is on? and if he has prep time he would know the schedule and where everyone will be so he can maneuver around them.

The Force>Batman prep time. And Vader can kill you through tv monitors or Holographic networks. Basicly He just has to see you on a live picture to kill you.
Superkitty says:
"Remember Batman doesn't use guns, so he can't fly an X-Wing."
The Bat-wing has guns, missiles, rockets. He doesn't use hand guns.
Batman could take out the Darth Star with enough knowledge and data.
Plus the X-Wing fires lasers, not bullets. Its never been shown that Batman doesn't fire weapons from his vehicles. He just doesn't use hand held bullet firring weapons.

Forever says:
"Dreadnaught says:"Obi Wan Kenobi had the force. Batman just has a bunch of primitive by star wars standards gadgets. "Not that I'm backing Batman but why are you assuming he couldn't steal a Stormtrooper uniform and just stroll around? Han and Luke had no trouble doing that."
wheres his cape going to go? see not possible

The original intent was to show that he couldn't use the same methods Luke Skywalker did. I didn't think he used guns at all. He could use weapons nonlethally. (I didn't think of the nonlethal uses of artillery - whatever type it is)
But my issue now was a more of a moral issue than a can/can't issue. If he can't kill The Joker or other recurring Gotham villains, how can he blow up a Death Star with thousands of beings? Remember this is more of an ethics thing than his abilities. (This was kinda sorta what I thinking about originally - my bad for not elucidating).
He could disable it and make it nonfunctional for a while, but they could just repair it. I suppose he could break it again, making an impasse. Would he do this?
Ethics aside, I think he could do this (at least the movie Star Wars, don't know how the books differ). Part of it is his abilities, but part of it on the "weakness" of the movies. It seemed anyone with a trooper suit was given free access (though this is partially because of movie time constraints - do we want to see an hour and a half of security checks, etc.?), and their notorious inability to hit anyone with their laser guns - must have went to same training camp as G.I. Joe did. Don't get me wrong, the Star Wars movies were very entertaining, but if Batman was somehow incorporated, there would been changes in the plot lines, methodologies, etc. that would incorporate Batman's abilities.
Batman not destroying the Death Star because it would kill all the people on board is a good point.
So he wouldn't destroy the Death Star. He'd disable all it's weaponry and render it into castrated space station, put knockout gas into the ventilation and capture Vadar and turn him over the the Rebel forces.
Easy as pie.
@jbelliott: if Vader is there he dies there is no real alternative heck any half decent force user can stop bats and the emperor is usually on station
If he starts outside he dies from their point defenses
If inside he gets swarmed by millions of spec ops solders armed with blasters ( the movies are a bad example in the books storm troopers are competent if not straight up BA
@cjdavis103: I don't agree. Bruce is a master of illusion and stealth. He could go around the star without being detected (only by Vader and his force sense).
Obviously Vader is not on the Star, otherwise it would be stated so.
This was brought back why?....Bats has no chance due to a few things...
1. He can't use The Force, this was the only reason that Luke was able to destroy the DS in the first place.
2. He doesn't have anything that is gonna match up to an X-wing, unless he gets one for this scenario...then just refer to point 1.
3. Inside?...Yeah...good luck with him trying to get passed all kinds of security.
@thanofleeze: stealth only goes so far when you are out teched by a huge margin and you are wearing all black in a white ship and every 20 feet they have ID checks and how will Bats sabotage the systems (that are far above him) in a way that thousands apon thousands of top of the line engineers cannot fix . And all the while avoiding being spotted once that's to much to ask of one normal human being
