Batman and Captain Boomerang vs. Black Knight and Archangel.

OK I'll just say that with both Captain Boomerang and Batman's large array of technology and their greatest weapon which is their minds they have the ability to beat them.

Archangel to me isn't that far from manbat which Batman has beaten numerous amount of times, and together Batman and Captain Boomerang can beat Black Knight.

Also in the new 52 (I know he had the insider suit PRE-Flashpoint) he has some pretty powerful suits:

This, ladies and gentleman, is someone who isn't terribly informed on his opponent.

Here is a scene from X-Force a few years ago where Archangel cut his opponent in half:

Manbat doesn't do that. Archangel's wings have a 6 foot reach, meaning that hand to hand combat with him would be virtually nonexistant. He fires small, techno-organic metal feathers out of his wings that are sharp enough and have a high enough velocity to pierce through even the hardest steel. They are commonly laced with a debilitating poison:

He also has a healing factor that may be superior to Wolverine's, as he has the ability to lend it to other people and has resurrected the recently deceased with it.

So no, he's not just Manbat. He's defeated the other 4 original X-Men when they were in X-Factor singlehandedly, and he even overpowered Age of Apocalypse Jean Grey when she came to 616 while she had the Pheonix Force:

It seems you guys were setting up a street-level tournament. Archangel is definitely not street level.

@Havenless: I believe the original tournament thread stipulated that this was Pre-Dark Angel Saga Archangel. He's still powerful, but not on the same level.

@Clark_EL: If you'd like some advice, everyone knows Batman. You'll get plenty of support for Batman if you show his feats or not. To have any shot at this you need to back Captain Boomerang hard. He's a tough sidekick to promote, he doesn't have a lot of gaudy feats and his power is a little restrictive. As Jimmy Kimmel put it, "What's his weakness... small rooms?"

Flood this thread with Captain Boomerang scans and maybe you can convince some people.

@Esquire: Well, the healing power, poison feathers, and cut people in half abilities still stand, just not the Phoenix thing.

Kinda tough but if archangels got wings that strong and poisonous couldn't he just rain down feathers?

I am refraining from voting. I simply did not feel that Clark had a very convincing argument. His only scans had Batman using suits of armour that I don't believe he has access to here, and he clearly underestimates his opponents. That said, he bothered to show up.

I read the thread, and am choosing not to vote.

Clark had 1 point...but he lost it due to purposefully lowballing Archangel in order to try and get the win.

You tried to make the case that Archangel was no better than Manbat....That's lowballing.

To expand on what my associate said:

• Archangel can fly at the speed of sound and still maintain maneuverability
• He isn't a mindless monster
• He has metal wings
• And he can fire his feathers as projectiles.

This is not a argument for or against him. These are simply things the character can do. Either you didn't know them and just presumed he wasn't a threat, or you knew and purposely feigned ignorance in hopes of tricking people. Either way, not cool.

Righteo, so first we start with the knockdown.

Archangel to me isn't that far from manbat which Batman has beaten numerous amount of times, and together Batman and Captain Boomerang can beat Black Knight.

As has previously been covered by my peers, Archangel is far superior in all areas to Manbat. Far more deadly with his metallic wings, perhaps far more violent, and finally, Archangel dominates in Ariel combat at the speed of sound. He'll be easily able to evade Boomerang and Batman.

Now this is for me, your fatal flaw. You're in a city, and you decide the best mode of attack is to suit up Batman in a cumbersome suit?. Well I'm not going to complain, but as it clearly mentions in the scan, it's a tank, and as is apparent Batman doesn't have the speed to combat the Talon's, he's just soaking up their damage. That may work with The Talon's, but the Black Knight has the Ebony Blade. It's Magic infused. It can cut through anything supposedly, so considering that Dane is already arguably faster than Batman, he should have very little trouble in decapitating Batman who won't be able to keep up with Dane.

(Oh and proof that Dane is fast.)

Here he is, keeping up, and besting Quicksilver in Sword fighting. Sure Quicksilver is awful at h2h as Black Knight points out, but he also notes on Quicksilver's speed as his primary asset, so Quicksilver is hardly underplayed here.

My plan!

So as is evident, we're in a dark, urban region in a city I presume. This benefits Batman, and perhaps Archangel in a bird of prey-esque way.

Opening Play. Prep for Ambush and the Dark Knight vs Black Knight.

We'd open with Archangel taking to the sky, the guy is super sonic, so he should drop off Batman's and Captain Boomerang's radar fairly quickly, especially under the cover of darkness that Archangel is initially benefitting from. He hide amongst the clouds for the opening segment, waiting for the perfect opportunity to ambush Batman or Boomerang.

As previously mentioned, Clark has decided to suit up Batman in the 'Talon Suit', which detracts from his speed, maneuverability and ultimately his best asset, which is his stealth. Therefore neither Boomerang, nor Batman are really suited for anything beyond a straight up confrontation with Black Knight. Now I'd make the argument that he has the skill, and ability to best both of them in this current situation, but as it is, I won't over-presume on Black Knight.

He comes equipped with the Ebony Blade and the Shield of Night. Both have fantastic absorbing powers, and will be used to combat the energy/explosive boomerangs, or Batman's Ice-batarangs that he was shown to be using.

Also, Black Knight doesn't have to worry about Boomerang, he's more than fast enough to create a blade wall to block off his Boomerangs. As shown here, he's fast enough to create an after image and block all projectiles coming at them.

Also here is him absorbing energy, from Zeus. Yes, Sky-Father Zeus.

Remember, initially, Dane is only looking to stall the pair, act as a distraction. He'll be hard pressed to keep up with Boomerang, but, Dane doesn't wimp out, he's taking on Dragons, so Boomerang won't scare him, even if he is fast. Batman will no doubt eventually close the gap between them, but as previously mentioned, Batman is a gonna in this fight as one slice from Black Knight will bring him down.

Closing Play. Ambush from Above

With Batman all but guaranteed to be dead, and Boomerang distracted by Black Knight makes his play. At the speed of sound, he sweeps down on Boomerang, unleashing a hail of Poison laced Metallic feather at Boomerang. Boomerang may be able to take the flash with his special weapons, but he's not super human himself, and quite frankly, he'll be caught off guard.

In this scan, we can see him hitting the Red Hulk. Look at the monologue, Rulk is starting to feel the effects after only the third feather. So Rulk is way more invunerable than Boomerang, it's fair to say then that Boomerang will be taken down easily.

Boomerang is overwhelmed and my team slaughterhouse.
