Bare minimum to defeat Midnighter

Midnighter

Pretty much what the title says. Try to find the character with the lowest stats possible that can defeat midnighter. No naming people who would stomp midnighter (superman, galactus, flash, etc).

Rules

• There is no prep
• Characters are limited to standard gear
• Doors are disabled
• Please explain why you believe midnighter loses....
• Whether you think a character can win with or without morals I will leave up to you. So morals are optional.
• As I said above do not pick someone who would obviously stomp midnighter. Try to pick the character with the lowest stats possible but still capable of beating midnighter.

Who can beat midnighter?

Zealot barely did it. It was a high showing and she had to abuse the effectiveness of her Kusar blades, but that seems like the bare minimum anyone's ever beaten Midnighter at without surprising him or duping him in some way, or massively out-statting him.

Battalion, Blink, Tao, and Madison Jeffries. Their physical stats are barely above peak human, if that, but they could down Midnighter with a thought. Those were just the first characters to enter my mind, probably because they're favorites of mine, but you should be able to figure out the pattern and see many other characters that could also take down Midnighter based on this selection.

Telekinetics, telepaths, and that guy who slammed him through a wall and pssed on his head.

Lowest stats possible, minimal powers and still capable of beating Midnighter; I'd go with Tao as the easy answer. Not that his stats are ridiculously low or anything; he's fit enough but not on the level of people like Batman or Daredevil.

Physically lowest, I'd say fantomex would be a good bet.

Fantomex, Domino, Taskmaster are the most sensible ones I can think of. Batman could w/ PIS. I don't think any other DC street-levelers could, so the first 3 ones I mentioned seem the most likely.

Taskmaster would get lolstomped even if he wasn't jobbing. Domino could theoretically win with her luck changing powers, but I've seen nothing from her use of powers that would enable her to come close to beating Midnighter..

The more logical statement to make concerning Midnighter and those characters is that Midnighter could beat all of them at the same time...................

i would like to think superior spiderman... pete would lose because of his morals i think but ock has suoerior stats, is just as ruthless, and has his own form of precognition. i certainly don't think he would beat mid all the time. i think that ock would be up to the challenge, make a formidable opponent, and take a couple maybe half.

I'm not going to get into this except to say that it's backward. Wolverine would have a better chance than any of the others. Probably better than all of them together.

Eh. Moonman never has any kind of actual logic behind his posts. Not worth it.

She's one-shotted Rulk with a luck-fueled pressure-point strike. Her power literally is Plot Induced Stupidity, so depending on which way the wind is blowing she could beat Midnighter with something as absurd as a thunderclap.

You can, however, beat it unconscious.

I can't see Taskmaster winning against Midnighter but if the writer uses Domino's luck powers in a stupid way which she can just one-shot Midnighter then she will win.

I can't think of any street levelers that have at least 50% chance of beating Midnighter.

Maybe Mister X? His power kinda canceled out Midnighter's move prediction capability.

I'll go with Prince of Orphans.

Kitty Pryde. Shorts out the fight computer, then untouchable ninjas him to victory through attrition.

How are his physicals, though? Midnighter is in Spider-Man's tier as far as physicals, and he's an expert tactician even without his battle computer.

Looking at his page, If his intangibility has no time limit, he should theoretically stomp, but Midnighter has a shot to blitz him once the battle computer registers the fight unwinnable if he changes.

Good choice.

OK I will say the bare minimum is wolverine, he might not take the majority but he can beat midnighter in a fight.
