I think bane may win here .. he is smart .. has a year to master the IG ... during the gauntlet series LT didn't want to have anything to do with the war and kept away from it ... bane may have this ..

SPITE,the Tribunal can override the gems.

#10 Posted by sandiego008 (3283 posts) - - Show Bio

@entropy_aegis: Why didn't he do it when thanos had the gauntlet?

Bad writing, or simply because the Living Tribunal couldn't be bothered to care.

Maybe if this was Bane from D&D...

I dont even, anyone who thinks Bane has even the slightest amount of chance here, you know nothing about the Infinity gauntlet series.

Something about Thanos's goals being pure or neccessary, but he later decreed that the gems can never work in unision.

@jaywray: Bane is a genius ... and Living tribunal and eternity stayed out of the fight ... eternity had to come into the fight at the last moment before thanos over took him with EASE ... he literally became him .. thus the downfall of the IG ... next strongest is living tribunal ... so unless i get feats /scans otherwise this isn't an easy fight.

And after Warlock had the Gauntlet, Living Tribunal took it from him. I believe it was implied that there would be a fight with lives lost, but LT would be victorious. And Warlock, I believe, is the most skilled user of the Infinity Gauntlet on record (Thanos included)

How so? thanos has better feats and is know to be far more intellegent, what has Adam Warlock done to prove he had more skills than Thanos with IG??

If memory serves, he once dismissed Eternity with a gesture.

As impressive as it is, how does that make him above Thanos or even Nebula. Thanos defeated the whole plethora of abstract with ease as well and even Nebula was tanking their attacks.

Thanos was the first person to know of the IG and he stated he learned everything about if from the well of infinity. I don’t think there has even been a better source of knowledge and I don’t see feats from Adam that would put him above Thanos either.

L.T de-powered the gems on adam warlock with ease after the i.g saga. bane is finished.

Bane might have a chance here if he has the infinity gauntlet. If he doesn't, LT kills him then resurrects him and repeats the process a sextillion times until LT is bored to death then just throws bane to a supermassive black hole.

Bane breaks LT's back, obviously you're all trolls and know nothing about Bane.

Even with the IG, Bane still loses.

what can bane do? The Living Tribunal has been proven to be more powerful than the Infinity Gauntlet, Eternity and Beyonder. check this website for info on the Gauntlet(http://marvel.wikia.com/Infinity_Gauntlet_%28Item%29).

bane doesnt stand a chance, not when the living tribunal is more powerful than the Infinity Gauntlet.

You can give the Tribunal the Phoenix force, the Infinty Gauntlet, Mjolnir, and three cosmic cubes, Bane still stomps him. Marvel characters are not on the same playing field as DC.

Are you implying Galactus is more powerful than Living Tribunal?

Bad writing, or simply because the Living Tribunal couldn't be bothered to care.

Living tribunal said it was because thanos only wanted to replace eternity and not interfere with the balance of things and it was nature. So living tribunal didn't interfere. When the order started getting messed up he undid everything and shut the gauntlet off.

That's basically a more complex version of what I said, the Living Tribunal couldn't be bothered unless something threatened him directly.

The LT felt no need to get involved, had he felt the need, there would no longer be a IG,

LT depowered the IG on 2 different occasions like it was no biggie, he even repowered them so they could work together once more, proving he has the power to take away the IG power AND give it back.

Also Thanos is on a whole different level to Bane, his genius FAR outdoes Banes in every way imaginable.

You want a scan? I cant be bothered looking for one, sorry.

The cosmic entity the Living Tribunal then declares that the Infinity Gems can no longer be used in unison.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity_Gems

And if you decide to go "blah blah thats wikipedia anyone can go on there" yeah, and anyone with a brain knows the LT FAR exceeds the IG.

#42 Posted by thanobomb1124 (2010 posts) - - Show Bio

Yes he does

#43 Posted by fondofpacman (567 posts) - - Show Bio

@sandiego008: They said in Infinity Gauntlet that the Tribunal didn't want to intervene because, even if Thanos were to beat Eternity, that's just natural selection, and that's not a reality crime or something. Also it would have ruined the series if LT got involved and just trashed Thanos.

LT should win with ease, but the 1 year of prep is alittle interesting, dunno if Thanos would have been able to just give himself the one year of prep with the time gem anyway, but dont think the year would matter unless it gave him time to create some sort of artifact the LT couldn't overwrite.

It doesn't LT stomps him ... damn this thread gets more hits than my threads that actually make sense do ... no wonder people make ridiculous threads people don't respond to ones that require thought.
