This is strictly a prep battle, not a punchfest.

Who can outsmart the other?  Who will in the end say, "checkmate"?

Lex easy.

@CitizenBane: Really? Isn't Bane really good at Chess though (I heard he beat Ra's in it)?

#4 Posted by Saren (25616 posts) - - Show Bio

@The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia: He did, but this isn't a chess match.

I'm thinking Lex would win.

@The_Last_Son_Of_Czarnia:

Sorry for the confusion, no it is not a chess game.

Lex luthor would win

Lex Luthor stomps.

Nothing against Lex, but doesn't Bane's track record of outcheating Batman count for anything? I mean what did Lex do? He became President of the United States and did what with it?

Lex became a god powerful enough to mess with the functions of one of the Endless in the last pre-Flashpoint arc of Action Comics. I think it was the second last, before Reign of Doomsday.

@CitizenBane: OK. Luthor for the win then.

I just thought Bane would put up a good challenge.

#12 Posted by Saren (25616 posts) - - Show Bio

@The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia: He also concocted a plan to KO Superman at exactly 8:00 PM in the very first post-Flashpoint issue of Action Comics.

@CitizenBane: A friend of mine told me he cured cancer just to prove he could. Would you happen to be able to verify said claim? Thanks.

Luthor's pretty dangerous. I still remember him taking down Nightwing. Then there was the Everyman Project if I'm not mistaken. Also, as a businessman who does shady things, he got away with a lot.

He did, then reversed his sister's condition again, under the token of Lex giveth, and Lex taketh away. It was in the Johns/Manapul Adventure Comics run.

That because someone is good at chess does not make them a skilled strategist when it comes to life. It kind of like saying that a chess grandmaster will be instantly good at Go. People over rate chess.

@Morpheus_: Thanks. That's not only cold and evil, but it's majorly impressive as an intelligence feat.

He mostly did it with things he found in his sister's basement, too.

@The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia: What Morph said. I remember reading that story in a bookstore.

But hey, in a fight-fight between the two, there's only one outcome.

Hot dog.

...tell me again, why is it that Marvel's big brains get far more respect than DC's?

#24 Posted by Morpheus_ (29873 posts) - - Show Bio
@Billy Batson: It didn't have to be, it still applies.

@CitizenBane: I expected more from that issue.

@Morpheus_: I read it because I read somewhere that Gaiman gave his blessing for Death's appearance there. Apparently Gaiman's approval is not all it's cracked up to be.

@The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia:

Because half of the people in marvel are super intelligent and have more feats?

@Morpheus_:

Very true.

@CitizenBane: I read the same thing, I think it might had been Cornell himself that said it in an interview. Death's appearance wasn't poorly done, it just felt contrived overall.
