deathwing is a lot more powerful both on a lore basis and on actual onscreen display, as shown in the trailer above, the sheer shockwaves and magic power from his wings alone made whole regions crumble and burn, moreover as a dragon aspect he is an immortal concept with infinite energy, on the otherside bahamut is much weaker, slower, and got defeated by a random group of adventurers with subpar magic, on the other side deathwing needed all of the dragon aspects together, thrall the earth-warder as replacement and the weapon dragon-soul which can atomize any physical entity when charged
the thing that bahamut destroyed his world is because final fantasy characters are weak in general, deathwing could not destroy it because he had to face all the dragon aspects at once, and each of the dragon aspects by itself destroys bahamut and all of the eidolons combined, so yeah deathwing wins without contest
