Sokka (meteorite sword, boomerang, war club)
Zuko (unarmed)
Toph (unarmed)

vs

X-Men Evolution
Cyclops
Marvel Girl
Storm
Nightcrawler
Spyke

- Aang is his end of Book 1 version. He has airbending and limited waterbending. All other Avatar members are end of the series versions.
- There is no full moon, Avatar State, or comet.
- Spyke is post-upgrade
- Everyone is fighting in character. They won't use their powers to do anything they didn't normally do in their shows.
- Elimination is by KO or death. No BFR or incapacitation.
- Neither team knows anything about the others.

Lol the evolution team would be overwhelmed at first (which they usually were) but once Kurt snaps in to distraction mode behind the enemy lines (his favorite show tactic) The X-Men, would likely power through rather easily with evasion only causing a slight difficulty.

@arcus: Yeah, but the fact that he can teleport objects with him and even other people would be a problem for any bender since that aren't familiar with instant movements like that. He could technically teleport them in the way of their own team's attacks depending on how large scale they are.

@arcus: That's true. I guess in the least he could be a distraction and just confuse the team by tagging them and relocating them randomly, until someone catches on of course lol.

@kaang_the_watcher: How DARE you make me chose between two teams made from two of my favorite TV-shows of all time???

Hmm... Storm can to some degree mach Aang's Avatar state... Sokka is a better tactician that Cyclops...

But Marvel Girl's telepathy is whats gonna give X victory.

Storm would actually solo. Either by hitting them all with a tornado or a lightning bolt.

She was barely in the show, so there's that too. lol

But she has control over her strikes, so they are non lethal for the most part.

@storm_calling: Considering that, it comes down to Storm and Jean vs the Avatar team, as Toph can pretty much oneshot everyone else, unless they're expecting it. The X-men seem a little overhyped here, they struggled with weaker folks than these. Also, if Storm starts tossing lightning around, Zuko may redirect some in her face. Aang is also being vastly underestimated, considering he has the avatar state, he could release an omnidirectional air blast similar to the one at the beginning of season two.

@arcus: It depends, they don't really have great reaction time and Toph just does. Toph could just step and peg them all with arm sized pillars, and considering that no one here has superspeed, they shouldn't be able to avoid it too easily, with the possible exception of Shadowcat. These Xmen were very watered down from any other incarnation, for example, Cyclops was beaten by Mystique, and dropped in the desert with ease. They aren't that durable, and they aren't that powerful.

No Avatar State Aang= Storm solo. No X-men are being overhyped.

She would mop the floor with Zuko and overpower his ability to redirect lightning. And in the short chance that to doesn't work, it wouldn't do squat to her anyway. She would change her method of attack and take him out with her winds, rain and control over ice(which was sufficient to taking out Pyro's flames).

Toph can't see her because she can fly, and the others have no defense to her lightning.

This is just Storm. Add the rest and it's a stomp.

I feel like the X-Men would be somewhat overwhelmed in the beginning of the fight, but would win a majority in the end.

Yep, Jean could potentially solo here as well. Though I'm not sure how many minds she can control at once.

@storm_calling:

She would mop the floor with Zuko and overpower his ability to redirect lightning.

Two issues with this. 1) I don't recall Storm's lightning being any more powerful than lightning from firebenders. 2) I'm not saying it's an uncommon attack for her, but I don't recall Storm spamming lightning bolts in the show. She MIGHT have the capacity to overload Zuko with lightning, but it seems like an unusual tactic for her.

She would change her method of attack and take him out with her winds, rain

Yes, Storm has really powerful elemental attacks, but we've yet to see how well she deals with enemies who can control the elements every bit as well as she can. The more wind and rain she creates, the more ammo she's giving Aang and Katara to use against her.

(which was sufficient to taking out Pyro's flames)

One of the limitations to Pyro's power is that he can't create his own flames. Once they get snuffed out, he can't reignite them at will. That weakness doesn't apply to Zuko, who can create his own flames at will.

Toph can't see her because she can fly, and the others have no defense to her lightning.

Toph has hit airborne enemies before. She tagged some buzzard-wasps in the desert by listening for them and getting some direction from her teammates.
And the others do have defense. Katara has blocked Azula's lightning with water shields before. I think Toph has done the same with earth shields, but I might be wrong about that. Right off the bat, I can't think of any specific instances in which somebody shot lightning at Toph. And Aang can't create and air shield or anything, but he's a quicker and more manuverable target than Storm is used to. He dodged a lot of Ozai's lightning blasts by using airbending to enhance his speed.

1. Her lightning is more powerful than any firebending lightning exhibited in the series. She can channel continuous strokes from the sky and from her hands at the same time. See her battle with Apocalypse in the finale, before she was turned into a horseman. She can overload opponents this way as well, like she did when she fought Apocalypse's advanced robots that had proved highly resistant to her attacks. She continuously struck them with lightning until they fell.

2. Her elemental powers are far superior to anyone in this group. She can make tornadoes, hurricanes and flash floods casually. Not to mention can fly. None of the characters in this group possess that sort of power under their belt. She would mop the floor with everyone here in a one on one fight and would likely solo them in a team.

3. Except you forget the fact that he has a weapon that allows him to create flames whenever he wants to. Storm took out his fire(which is much more powerful than Zuko's) and prevented him from making new flames, and then directed a lightning bolt directly at his weapon to disable it. Zuko is outclassed here.

4. Toph cannot detect airborne enemies unless they are making noise. She couldn't detect the wasp and needed Katara to guide her attacks. She couldn't detect Aang(who was jumping around lightly with his airbending). Storm can sustain flight far away from the ground and hit Toph with a number of attacks that she wouldn't see coming. She is outclassed here as well.

5. Katara would first have to see where Storm is firing her attack before she can try to use any water bending to absorb it. Unlike the characters in Avatar, Storm can command lightning. She can target it at her from any number of directions and overwhelm her with it. Not to mention Storm's winds would make short work of her water bending as well. She's used it to hold back a giant water spout, casually raise the water from the sewer floor and to manipulate water to defeat the thieves guild.

6. Aang is not a quicker and more maneuverable target than Storm is used to. She's dealt with close hand combat with Mystique and made short work of Toad(who has superhuman agility). Aang dodging Ozai's lightning is much different than how he would have to dodge Storm's lightning. She can fire multiple shots at the same time instantly from the sky and from her hands and easily blow him out of the air with her superior control over wind. Not to mention she can use her powers to work with the elements like when she formed a tornado around herself to effectively move at Quicksilver level speeds to take out an amped up Sabretooth. Storm has Avatar State level power that she can play with, so he is very outclassed without his to back him.

Nicely explained SC :-). Evo X-Men for the win and Storm could definitely solo.

Going with X-Men Evo team. I see a combo of Nightcrawler and Cyclops beating Zuko (Nightcrawler could be a distraction via teleporting while Scott hits Zuko with optic blasts or unleashes his full power like he did against Juggernaut); post-upgrade Spyke beating Sokka; Jean's TK, TP, and flight beating Toph (who's the toughest person on team Avatar in my opinion); and Storm beating Aang & Katara.

@kaang_the_watcher: Uh im assuming comics in which storm solos. Movie version and allow full feats for team avatar and it will be more balanced, great idea though!

I think you misunderstood his battle. The X-Men team are from X-Men Evolution, the TV series, not comic versions.

@indomitableregal: Even still he'd have to make it a movie version for them to stand any chance. He would also have to allow full access for all avatar feats as well to allow them to win. That was my point.

@killerwasp: Well, apart from Aang, everyone else does have full access to all their feats, but I still see your point. The fact that a credible argument can be made for Storm soloing says that the battle is a bit unbalanced. Also, if you did movie versions you'd have to restrict Jean since she turned into Phoenix.

Why would you assume either comic or movie versions?
The OP says "X-Men Evolution" pretty clearly. That means I'm drawing from the X-Men Evolution cartoon show.
