VS

In this battle, a team of the Avatars' friends and allies will take on a team of the Avatars' greatest enemies (and Zhao). Who will win?

Allies: Katara, Toph, Zuko, Mako, Bolin

Enemies: Zhao, Azula, Unalaq, Zaheer, Kuvira

This fight takes place in Zaofu, on the edge of the city by the river. There is metal and water. Time is perpetual twilight

Azula is sane. Unalaq does not have access to the Dark Avatar State. Zaheer cannot fly.

Victory by ko or death

Round 1:

The Gaang has tv show feats only (no comic feats).

All are in character

Round 2:

The Gaang has comic feats

All are in character

Round 3:

The Gaang has comic feats

The Allies are bloodlusted

@arcus: Has any of the gaang or the Korra gang ever killed the moon? I think not. Using that logic, Zhao wins!

Zhao basically solos the entire Avatar verse

I think the villains are overall more talented and skilled benders than the Avatar allies together. Especially Azula and Unalaq, the MVPs.

@arcus: Aside from Zhao, the villains have solid sets of feats. Azula is a prodigious and ruthless firebender, Unalaq did very well against Korra and was one shotting Mako and Bolin before becoming the Dark Avatar, Zaheer is a pretty skilled airbender even without flight managing to beat a fair few foes with it and Kuvira is a balanced Earth/metalbender.

Having said that, I see your rounds structure now and the allies might take Round 3. Bolin could take some of them out with his lavabending for sure and the ATLA gang are powerful benders to be sure. They need morals off to use their full potential.

Round's one and two belong to the villains assuming no jobber aura is in the way.

Round three honestly could go either way.

@killerwasp: any reasons? @lvenger: Katara and Zuko have gotten the better of/held their own against Azula, and Mako and Bolin (mainly Bolin) have improved since fighting Unalaq, to be fair. Kuvira's good, but so's Toph

@arcus: I feel they do have a solid amount of feats, and that azula alone was able to at least give toph and aang a run for their money. With that said Toph is a key player like aang, and this will for sure cause problems. Besides having to deal with Azula there are the others as well.

I agree with @killerwasp: the villains take r1 and 2, while the allies may wreck r3, dragon dance helps zuko against azula, bolin can take kuvira, mako beats zhao and gets respect from iroh, toph and zaheer is one tricky one.

@killerwasp: Azula was able to evade an attack from Toph and evade Aang with the Dai Li, true, but that's not the same as giving them trouble in a fight

@gizmorino: any reasons? What about Katara and Unalaq? Toph doesn't seem like the best person to take Zaheer

@arcus: No i was referring, to them just fighting in general she's fought both of them as has done her job.

@arcus: True Toph is at least comparable, if not superior to Kuvira as an Earth/metal bender but Kuvira is a lot more agile and is very good at neutral jing. As for Katara and Zuko, I still see Post Dragons Dance Zuko as below a sane Azula myself. Katara may have scored a fair and square victory but it did seem to go against Azula's previous showings. Still, you have a point I guess.

@lvenger: Kuvira's definitely more agile, but Toph's also much more powerful. Zuko might be behind a sane Azula, but any gap is pretty small. Hard to argue with the Catacomb fight for Azula and Katara, though it's possible Azula would do better in a rematch

Unalaq and korra can be a stalemate, mako beats zhao, toph and kuvira is a "toph" one, azula lose to bolin, or bolin can just beat kuvira and toph take azula, and again zaheer is free running around, korra was taking on zaheer while bounded, though with the help of her father, and later got beat by a more serious zaheer.

R3 belongs to the allies because the villains basically have no morals, and the heroes usually stall them or take them head on with morals, now bloodlusted they will unleash hell(or heaven since they are "good guys") on them.

Didn't Toph take out a tank with her Earth bending?

The final fight is a tossup and a fight I'd pay good money to see.

Allies every round with 3 being a near decisive stomp, on the other two it isn't a stomp or near stomp but allies take it rather handily. Metal armor gg.

Last time Azula fought Zuko she stomped him

Katara = Toph = Azula = Unalaq > Zuko = Kuvira > Mako > Zaheer > Bolin > Zhao

That is a complete baseless claim that's backed by no sort of evidence or showing in the series thus far. Tenzin is two leagues above Zaheer, we've already seen how a battle would play out between the two with Zaheer not even being able to touch him.

Zuko is close to Katara, but not there IMO. Katara is on par with Toph and Azula either way you swing it.
