For this battle, Aang and Wan are both limited to airbending and firebending

Fight takes place where Aang and Ozai fought. Wan starts where Ozai started, Aang starts where he started. Victory by KO or death

Aang has his glider

Fighters are bloodlusted

Round 3:

Fighters are bloodlusted

Sozin's Comet is out

Aang has durability equal to Wan

Possibly Aang, unsure cause wan is technically a fire bender at heart, and i feel his fire bending would be superior to aangs, and aang does use air, but he barely used it when he fought Ozai per say as an offensive attack, so hes thus bound to use more fire attacks which i feel Wan could beat him in.

Question is AS state allowed? If so aang wins by default.

It's worth mentioning that Wan could fly with airbending (he had that cloud thing), something even Aang couldn't do

First Avatar vs Aang? Giving it to wan. But i am biased on this subject. So i am out.

Wan's firebending > Aang.

His airbending hasn't been shown as much, but his flying nimbus cloud was very fast and agile. Aang also hasn't demonstrated flight without the glider and the AS.

Aang can move faster than wind on foot. and he,s a better air bender plus he can move very fast on his airball.

Ahh I only read the OP.

I think Wan his firebending edge is greater than Aang's airbending edge, and the fact he has actually been able to fly without a glider or AS unlike Aang.

Ooh give Aang a wing suit :P

Round 1 should go to Aang due to his good track record against skilled firebenders in character using just his airbending and Nomad philosophy of non confrontational violence. Rounds 2 & 3 are in Wan's ballcourt though. He has the durability to tank Aang's attacks and the necessary morals to use lethal measures to finish Aang off.

@arcus: Well it's a bit hard to judge really, my heart wants to say Aang, but Wan was quite impressive

Do you see the different conditions for the different rounds making a difference?

I do round 3 especially gives Wan an edge

@killerwasp: it's not like they will help him in battle, they just help him make descisions and while in a bloodlusted-avatar state all avatar voices are being heard but he is still in control he just has increased stats and bending prowess.

@gizmorino: Which is the thing? increased stats and bending that is what would give him the edge over wan if AS was allowed.

@killerwasp: wan should also have increased stats too in AS since he was able to face vaatu and survive some hits, he even survived hits before merging with raava, so yeah wan should have increase stats besides wan has more bending prowess than any avatar(a probability). And like i said increase stats and more bending prowess which wan already have when he lived with the spirits.

@gizmorino: it also gives the skills of the past lives, which for Aang would include Wan

@gizmorino: and aangs going to have more avatars to fall back on, All of them help him at their very best which is why u see this happening.

@arcus: i only see them giving him advise but battle wise he just gets more bending prowess and increased stas....... I know i here the voice of all the other avatars but he is still in control of his body he is the one bending not all of them he will just have a more power bending prowess while wan already had those by living with the spirits and again i think his connection to raava is superior to others.

This is quite difficult to judge, as Wan has so few feats in comparison to Aang, but he does have some pretty serious feats. Although, he did get help from spirits, i guess. Also, Aang has all the previous Avatars experience and knowledge to utilise. Imma go with Aang in most cases.

By help with the spirits do you mean in training? Cause the spirits didn't help him in his fights, unless you count Raava in the Avatar State.

Wan all rounds. Round 1, Wan's considerably more ruthless than Aang is in-character (he murdered that hunting party...). Round 2 is incredibly close, but I think Wan can clinch a 6/10 majority. Bloodlusted Aang with air is incredibly dangerous, but Wan's got his two best elements, and his nimbus largely takes away Aang's speed advantage. Round 3, Wan's firebending >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Aang's firebending. The durability boost Aang gets isn't nearly enough to compensate.

Round 1: Wan
Round 2: Aang stomps
Round 3: Could go either way

R1: Wan, Aang doesn't really hit hard enough to put him down IC, and Wan's got a good mix of mobility and offense.

R2: Aang, his airbending is too OP.

R3: Wan. The Comet is brokenly OP.
