Teleport under him and cut off his jewel since Avalanche would expect NC to do something else like teleporting him.
The first time they fought Nightcrawler teleported all around Avalanche hitting him with a barrage of punches. Destiny intervened and told Dominic where Kurt was about to appear next. Had she not done this, he would have pounded Av until he dropped.
