Autobots vs. Sentinels

I know this has been done before, but it seemed kinda vague, like ALL the Autobots vs. All the sentinels.(No offense intended to anyone) I just think that was incredibly unfair considering the Autobots have Omega Supreme, Metroplex, Skyfire, etc. Here I want to create a more evenly matched battle.

Scenario

The war between the Autobots and Decepticons is in a cease-fire. The Decepticons are spread through the universe, while the Autobots have control of Cybertron. Earth has been watching the events of the War, and the governments of Earth fear the Cybertronians. They agree to create an army to combat the Cybertronians, adapting the Sentinels to attack Cybernetic life forms. 250 Sentinels are sent to Cybertron as a test run. An Autobot scout sees the Sentinels approaching and warns Optimus Prime. Most of the Autobots are recovering from serious injuries sustained in the war. Optimus orders an evacuation of Cybertron. Optimus is determined to stay behind until everyone else has left, but some of his bravest soldiers refuse to leave without him. This group of five Autobots stays behind to defend Cybertron.

250 standard Sentinels, attack only Cybernetic organisms. Led by Master Mold.

Five Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Ultra Magnus. Standard G1 Autobots. Standard weapons, both ranged and melee.

20 minutes prep time for Autobots.

Which versions of the Autobots?...

Generally anyway the Autobots should win.

It says Generation One, which also includes Regeneration One.

250 sentinels seems like overkill, even with prep the autobots are in for a tough fight, I'll be a little biased here, autobots ftw.

Not sure where, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a Sentinel get taken down by Spider-Man (not the Cosmic version, just normal ol' Petey)

Anyways, Autobots can take this.

im sure the autobots take this besides being autobots which are definitely superior to sentinels the have home field advantage , i know it say standard gear and weap. but im sure their sensors would signal them and they just fire a laser or a few missiles into space before the sentinels touch down on cybertron

Thanks, I thought long and hard about this one. I've been wanting Transformers battles, but have a hard time thinking of opponents that would be a good match.

Nice battle autobots because they have superior fighting skill and they know the layout of the planet

I wouldn't say they stomp, but they win. Though Nimrod is kinda unfair.

So if I had put in Nimrod, how would that have changed the outcome?

Most certainly. Nimrods are far more agile and adaptable then their 50 foot high counterparts. They would most likely be able to analyze and adapt any Autobot defenses or tactics. With a Nimrod in tow, I'd give the fight to the Sentenils.

Autobots can win, because they move like a real spiderman, and the sentinels move like a terminator: bip bip bip, destro destroy.

So, just out of curiosity, if it was Nimrods instead of reg Sentinels, what would it take for the Autobots to be able to match them?(besides Omega Supreme)?

That's about it. Something like Fortress Maximus could do it. Regular Autobots don't have a chance against multiple Nimrods. It took Legion and Hope to take them down.

@rd189: good points on the Nimrods. I was going to say the same thing, plus the possibility of the Mark II sentinels representing a good challenge for the autobots (self repairing and near instant adaptation).
