Dante wins round 3 because at his full potential he is invincible. Not to mention he has Quicksilver so he can freeze time and chop up Asura's face.

How ???
Devil Trigger doesn't help ???
When Devil Trigger can defeat something as big as a Galaxy, then it won't be a stomp
@SpeedForceSpider: Strange :P
@XImpossibruX: How about this explanation...

Seems reasonable...

well stalemate, Dante couldn't harm Destroyed mode Asura, no matter what attack he uses or any item he has.
Royal Guard would win Dante this one. Royal Guard is a perfect defensive technique that only relies on Dante's reflexes as its only mitigating factor. Royal Guard also turns the strength of an opponent's attack against them. So if Asura can hurt himself, and he doesn't have any speed feats that would put him significantly above Dante's reaction time, then full power Dante can't lose.
So I guess it depends largely on if Royal Block/Release counts as hand to hand or not. Dante auto wins any round where he is allowed the use of Royal Guard.
I do also want to point out though that full power Dante is basically featless. in DMC 2, he one shots the most powerful being in his universe without using Devil Trigger at all. His highest DT form has also only ever appeared in gameplay, he's never been forced to use it in lore. He also hasn't used the Sparda since DMC 1, where it made him immensely more powerful. In theory, Dante at his best is Majin Devil Trigger Dante at the end of DMC 2 wielding the Sparda.
Asura would punch Dante's head clean off into orbit.
Asura ultimately stomps if he were to become Asura the Destructor. Dante is awesome and is incredibly powerful in his own right but Asura is way above him in terms of what he can do on a larger scale.
Round 1: It could go either way due to the fact that Dante has his time abilities as well as advantages within the versatility category
Round 2: Asura because of raw strength, speed and endurance
Round 3: Dante because of his time abilities, Royal Guard, Majin Form and Yamato

Asura stomps is his weakest from all rounds.
really? really?
Dante is strong. But he isn't even 1/1000th of Asura's strength. The first we even see of Asura, he's fighting in far outer orbit against colossal foes and brought the smackdown on a giant monstrous head growing out of the Planet.
Yasha's hands are pretty much the same as attacks with Yamato, except Yasha has explosive power as well. Enough to damage and alter the trajectory of the Brahmastra when kicking the Karma Fortress in the face.
Even allowing for some time-stopping in the 3rd round, as Destructor or even Berserker Asura, Dante won't be able to cause any significant harm. He'd be like a flea attacking a giant. One blow from Destructor Asura and even Sparda Dante wouldn't be able to withstand it. Nevermind the fact that Asura can unleash an infinite number of his energy fists, that were being used to destroy moons, planets and stars in both Destructor form and 6-armed Mantra form.

Asura fought a god who had full control over time and it didn't help him
