this is a mismatch indeed. asura fought a deity that has eight hands who was throwing planets at asura. asura was shrugging them off like it was nothing. asura with 5 hits will destroy thor.

One of the most hardcore, brutal and devastating battles to ever occur! At the very end, I could see Thor still standing, but not without suffering heavily in the wound department. Thor with Odinforce and Warrior's Madness would put up a decent opposition for Asura in Berserk Mode.

It depends on the versions... I mean I could see Odin Force Thor or Rune Magic Thor beating most variations of Asura based on the scale of power that the Rune Magic and Odin Force grants... while I can see Asura the Destroyer obliterating most versions of Thor based on what he can do. It's hard to say.

The above user is trying to look for ways for thor to win, when OP clearly stated with version was being used. That my point.

Since when is Thor a higher level than a planet? Moreover, since when is Thor in this movie above planetary level?

What you don't understand is that in this video above it's not the MCU version of Thor, but a comic Thor, and we're using a specific form of it. I ask again, since when does this form of Thor exceed the planetary level?

Base thor? He gets worked. He doesn't have the speed to keep up with Asura, he probably doesn't have the feats either.

Asura is incredibly powerful, easily one of the most powerful video game characters ever. Let’s look at his feats to determine how powerful he is.

• Asura at his weakest fights Wyzen, one of the Seven Ditties, and send him flying into space with a flurry of blows.
• Wyzen right after becomes as big as the Earth and tries to squish Asura with his finger, which is stopped.

• More impressively, not only did he hold off his finger, but it took several punches that ultimately defeated and disintegrated Wyzen completely. This feat of Asura holding off and killing Wyzan with one final blow makes him a planet level character.

• Next up for Asura's feats would be that he was struck by this Katana which sent him colliding to Earth at great speeds, acting like meteor. Not only that, but while on Earth the Katana pierced through Asura and kept digging through the Earth itself. What did Asura next do? He used one punch to break the Katana.

• Here we see Asura block and deflect a beam that travelled light years in seconds and obliterated planets nigh-instantaneously.

• Asura's Mantra Affinity is Wrath. This signifies that Asura's strength and power is proportionate to his level of rage and wrath. This plays a major role in the series as it allows Asura to constantly build up and increase his Mantra output to what could be infinite levels the more anger he builds up. His rage grew so much that he obtained a new form known as The Destructor.
