Ares vs Taskmaster

Ares, during Dark Reign saga seemed to get a pretty big boost. From being able to beat Abomination, to having rogue take a portion of his powers and tank everything Ms Marvel could throw at her.

I think Ares takes it handily.

Ares is a skilled, when written correctly, quick,70 tonner who does not get tired and has a super healing factor. Taskmaster can only delay the inevitable for so long. Oh, and Ares is ALWAYS bloodlusted.

Ms.Marvel and Ares are on the same level of strength, I'd have to assume she took all his strength otherwise it's PIS...and I don't think he's received and upgrade because he beat A-bomb, judging by actual Hulk's having trouble with him..I'd have to say that's also PIS because is Ares was comparable to a Hulk he wouldn't have gotten ripped in half by Sentry.

Its easier to see Ares in the series being a lot more stronger than what he was before. Ares has lost to Ms Marvel before, when boosted to 3x his normal strength still got curbstomped by Thor and all of a sudden during Dark Reign he was totally recognized as a powerful. Instead of calling 2 instances PIS, i think its a lot more convinent to see that whole series as a boost for Ares, maybe temporarily if he's not looked the same power level after that (not sure if he came back to life).

I liked Ares, a lot. He was such a one-dimensional character, but unlike other characters he wore it so well. I dunno, he's all kinds of awesome.
