Team, pretty easily. The only guys with feats anywhere near are Jaime, Sandor and Barristan. Also, the final round is by far the easiest If we are going by Tommen's KG.

All the LOTR guys are a small army by themselves. They easily clear.

My bad, I thought you meant the show. Robert's KG was pretty sh*tty too , only Jaime was and Barristan were worth their salt, I'd put young Barristan, Dayne and Rhaegar above Robert's Kingsguard.

Green magic or Bog Devil trickery was clearly utilised by Howland Reed. It's why I discount it as a feat for either side.

@rogueshadow: There is no proof that Reed warged into any of the Kingsguard or things like that.

No proof he used magic or poisons, but they are the most likely explanations, regardless, it's still a false comparison anyway, the combatants being discussed are almost all different.

Arthur with Dawn>>>Arthur>Jaime

Young Barristan>>>Old Barrristan

Rhaegar>>>>>>>>>>>>Anybody else on the Kingsguard who are all poor - average combatants.

Arys Oakheart - Average - Killed a couple of nameless fodder, nothing great

Boros Blount - Very poor

Mandon Moore - The best, but still only in the average category

Meryn Trant - Average

Preston Greenfield - Poor

They are all next to featless and without any acclaim save Moore, and that's moderate, I only recall Jaime thinking he's better than the rest of the Kingsguard, but that isn't worth much.

@rogueshadow: Of course that Jaime and Selmy are bosses among the rest, but I still think you are underrating some of them. I feel that Trant, Moore, Oakheart could beat some good duo like The Hound and Brienne or something like that.

lotr characters are more powerful, so clears... legolas alone could aswell... don´t know why prime robert isn´t the last chalenge since he has more feats, is stronger and has better reach being 6'6, has legendary skill with a weapon superior to any sword and tossed a prime Jaime like a ragdoll in his fat as a horse self and drunk as hell... the same jaime grrm says beats aragorn in a sword duel (i call bs since aragorn is numenorian but) still... Robert in his prime is by no means a lesser threat than dayne or barristan

He pushed Jaime who is sworn to serve him when he wasn't expecting it and boasted he could still knock him on his arse. Not exactly a battle feat, nobody doubts Robert is far stronger than Jaime. GRRM is right (about book versions), Jaime actually would beat Aragorn. Third Age Numenoreans are not the equal of their Second Age counterparts or even close.

This. Movie LOTR characters are too powerful, Legolas is basically a super-soldier with reality warping.

I can't see them making it past 3. They take a definitive stop at 4 though.

This really wasn't worthy of a bump....

Aragorn, (who by feats is less then Legolas) soloed the 9 wraiths in the battle at weathertop.

Aragorn is also the youngest on the LOTR team and still has decades (he's 87) worth of experience over anyone in this gauntlet

Really these rounds should be consolidated to make it fair for the GoT teams LOL

@rogueshadow: it's not meant to be a battle feat, just to get a glimpse of what he was in his prime... if we talk battle feats he has more than jaime, better genetics, better weapon, legendary skill with it (proven by grrm on his site) so, my point stands... prime Robert SHOULD be part of, or THE final challenge on the list

but even he isn´t defeating an elf, unless legolas is numb and takes a shot of bob's warhammer to the skull

Book Legolas actually doesn't any close quarter feats, but I agree about film Legolas. Catching Jaime unawares and just pushing him over doesn't really give us a glimpse of his prime, a better representation would be that he could wield a warhammer with one hand that Ned could scarcely even lift.

Also, you aren't looking at this correctly, gauntlets aren't tiered by who has superior individuals in it, but rounds that have the better average/poses the most overall threat. Rhaegar is inferior to many characters in lower rounds (Sandor, Jaime etc.) just like Robert is superior to many above him, but as Dayne and Barristan are both in Rhaegar's bracket, it has a better average than round 2, since Stannis drags Jaime and Robert down.

The only possible challenge they might have is against Selmy, Dayne and Rhaegar but even then one of the LOTR guys could stomp them all! Their feats are simply better.

The LOTR crew are OP. They clear this with style while their theme song plays in the background.
