Aquaman vs Spiders

In celebration of Aquaman being our new character of the month, I have pitted him against the (physical) Kings of Street Level, the Spiders!

Spiders:

616 Peter, Ultimate Peter, Superior Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2099, Kaine, Ben Reilly, 616 & Ultimate Spider-Women, and special mid tier guest, Agent Venom.

Rules:

•Teamwork is at 100%, full knowledge on each other

•Spiders have 2 weeks to prep. In these 2 weeks they can bring anything they can reasonably retrieve that they have used before that is not OP. They can not bring any reinforcements, other than SpOck's army.

•All Aquaman knows is that a group of superhumans are gunning for him

•Team is morals off, Aquaman is in character

•No tp

•Fight takes place in Manhattan

•Round 1:Pre 52

Round 2:New 52

I hope this isn't one sided in anyway, it's kinda hard to keep it even between a high mid tier and a group of mostly top street.

@chaos911: Aquaman is no push over, lets not forget his durability. I just think he really won't be able to tag them too much. But sooner or later they'll get him down (maybe). He did survive a continent level attack or so i've been told. I don't think anyone here is putting out that kind of damage.

This match is heavily in favor of the team.

With two weeks prep I'm sure the Spiders can come up with something.

I don't think they can hurt him enough tbh, the spiders don't bring the required striking power to seriously hurt arthur. It'd be an entertaining fight though.

Manhattan is surrounded by water, Aquaman could summon Tidal waves all over the place. He can even beat them all with his bare hands or trident, he has feats suggesting anyone on the Spider-Man team can not even harm him.

@chaos911: Why no tag me? I am probably the biggest Aquaman fan out here, and one of the only who does not underrate him.

New-52: Honestly i can see one or two Spiders soloing

I support this.

I think that the team does not have a feasible way to take down Arthur, while Arthur will, sooner or later, take down all the spiders.

Agent Venom alone can give him a good fight, but I don't know how Aquaman will put him down by pure brute force or even using his trident. Remembering that his mass increase is similar to the rage of the Hulk, so as the fight goes on, he will be stronger until he can match Aquaman (A stable Agent Venom is probably at 70-ton range in a calm state, like Eddie Brock, considerating that he gave Carnage a really good fight).

N52: Spiders wins, handily, SpOck tech and Agent Venom giving them a huge edge.

P52: The water hand? I'm still leaning toward the team, but this one will be way harder.

Pre-52 Aquaman might be able to TP all of them, otherwise, I think the Team might be too much IMO.

New-52 Aquaman is also very impressive, with his duarability etc, but this many Spider's; is probably sufficient enough to deal with Aquaman IMO.

@kingant27: TP is forbidden in this fight, and takeover should be also (I see Agent Venom doing this if his team is being overwhelmed).

The prep is the only debatable topic and its too circumstantial to give a definitive answer.

Also, depends what you mean by "no tp". If he's banned from attacking them directly, that's fine, but if he's banned from summoning creatures, that would be alot worse.

Topo could solo this team, tbh.

Aquaman goes on a one-shotting spree but is eventually overrun.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I was going to say.

The prep is the only thing that would give the spiders the win. Arthur would slaughter them in a random encounter. Only one who would put up a decent fight would be agent venom if he vulked out.

@oreoassassin: no, he doesn't have the greatest piercing durability but it's not like it's terrible. It still takes allot of force to hurt him (bulets only graze him IIRC) and it should be enough to resist allot of the damage the spiders can dish out.

I could honestly see the team having a fair chance without the prep, the fact that they have it and are out of character makes me think the Spiders can get a good majority. I don't know much about pre-52 Aquaman though.

What kind of sea creature he could find in Manhattan that could bring the team (That's almost an army) down, or at least put them into the rivers?

He is in character, he isn't destroying Manhattan to get rid of the Spiders, also, with some time and mass increase, Venom can reach his strenght level.
