Off memory; Aquaman can swim at 150 knots, Namor can swim at 75 knots.
Aquaman.
Aquaman vs Namor ..... Who Can Swim From One Side Of The World To The Other the Fastest ?? : )
" Off memory; Aquaman can swim at 150 knots, Namor can swim at 75 knots. Aquaman. "
Dang it, I voted before I read the stats... I was hoping fluttering ankle wings would give Namor the win.
His CV page says Aquaman can swim 10,000 feet per second. I'll take him.
Don't know why the bump, when the on paper statistics scream Aquaman. Besides, Namor would probably stop to check his reflection in the waters and make sure his hair wasn't out of place ...

LMAO! This is too true! Namor is too arrogant for his own good!
Michael Phelps beats them both.
Perhaps he does, however, nobody can beat the mighty Nemo and his underdeveloped fin...
Aquaman.
It's not even a contest.
Marina from Marvel was stated as being faster than Namor (due to her resistant free skin or smthing) and she had max speed of around 900 knots.
That's nothing to Aquaman who can go hypersonic and do 10000 feet/sec (20000 if he pushes).

Too easy.
@wolverine08: Thing recently pawned Namor underwater (PIS but canon), Black Panther straight up told him that he is gonna end him (to which Namor did nothing), and is also the he-b1tch of Susan Storm (always ready to do what she says).
On the other hand Aquaman took on the big 3 of the JL to a standstill, took over Atlantis via single combat beating it's king, and stabbed Darkseid twice and lived to tell the tale.
Marvel is not doing so well on the "Namor=bad@ss" department lately.

Lol. Too true.
Aquman is faster, but Namor is the better badass.
False
@the_stegman: Best DC animated film so far.
Check the Emperor Aquaman respect thread on the Aquaman boards.

Lol, I really don't consider badass to be which people you beat up. I look more at the attitude. Namor is kind of getting pawned recently, but he's still keeping that badass attitude :D
@wolverine08: Namor always tries to come off as a bad@ss (that's a character trait of his), but he doesn't back it up (at least in the recent past).
Aquaman on the other hand does not try to come off as a bad@ss, but he does so casually just because he actually is a bad@ss.
Both are bad@sses and Namor might be the prototype for "antihero" but Marvel screwed him up in the recent past. Not fault of the character.
Yeah, Marvel really is taking Namor into jobber territory now. They need to give him a badass showing soon to redeem himself. DC is treating their Atlantean King much better.

Agreed. Pre-52 A-Man was a joke.
@wolverine08: Marvel needs to give Namor a mini or a oneshot, that
1) Portrays Namor in a good (non jobber) way
and most importantly
2) make the story relevant in the MU (and not some Namor vs underwater vampires that no one gives a sh1t about)
3) establishes his supporting cast and defines their personalities (something more than, "Duh Namor is King and we follow")
@monsterstomp: Aquaman has been a bad@ss since the early 90s under Peter David and Grant Morrison.
Even the ridiculously Marvel biased Wizard Magazine named him "one of the ten characters you wouldn't wanna mess with".
Before that let's say he had fallen on bad times, but since PAD Aquaman had one of the best track records in the DCU.
Definitely agreed! I do have some problems with the New 52, but I have been mightily impressed by how great and relevant DC has made Aquaman to their universe. Marvel should really just follow their blueprint for Namor. He needs better than talking big talk, and then getting his a%s laid out by chumps. Lol.

Marvel's been taking Namor into jobber territory much longer than just now lol. The guy has been the Gladiator of the sea for years.
@god_spawn: Ouch.
Also didn't Glads sh1tstomp Vulcan relatively recently?
@wolverine08: those are good examples of their opposite trajectories.
Namor looks like Black Adam..
They're brothers. The arrogance runs in the family.

Except Black Adam proves he's a badass, time and time again.

Yeah... in Namor's current jobber state, he's basicaly Black Adam's little brother who tries to be badass like his big brother, but just gets laid out on his a%s. Lol.
Namor looks like Black Adam..
I thought he looks like Spock....
aquaman due to feats
side note... you would think namor would be a lot faster considering how much more powerful he is than namor but aquaman trumps him in swimming speed so thats pretty dope
@comicfan11: I believe he did beat him. I'm just trying to remember the fight. But even more recently Namor and the PF beat the sh*t out of Gladiator. But Gladiator is a stepping stone character similar to Namor. Gladiator has also been slapped by Cannonball. He has been knocked over by Gambit. He was defeated by the Fantastic Four and Captain America when Reed used a device to make Cap look like one of them, Cap then just blocked all of his punches, and when Glads' confidence was shook enough, Sue took him out with a force field or something. At least Gladiator has an excuse, his power being based on his confidence and all that jazz. Namor has been beaten by She-Hulk when she was a class 75 twice. I like Namor. He is a character you love to hate but is so good at it you have to respect it. But Marvel has forgotten the days of him beating Hulk, or how he was the first superhero to ever fly. He should be treated better. They've made him into a b*tch.
DC fanboys are everywhere! LOL
Or maybe Namor just sucks. :P
@comicstooge: I say both?
@comicstooge: I say both?
How are they DC fanboys because they support a character based on the fact that Aquaman is indeed faster?
