to be fair Marvel has shown that all of Galactus heralds share some general characteristics and strengths. So its not a stretch to say so if some of the other Heralds have exhibited mental powers or TP resistance on panel.

Basically water hand gives him

• Anti magic that counters spells, absorb magic from things - useless here
• water manipulation that allows him to control the oceans etc - also pretty useless
• healing , able to heal and bring even the dead back to life and returned him from the dead- means he can stick it out and stalemate if win conditionis death but as no such mention he can and was KO'd with the water hand
• water constructs
• teleportation/open portals to anywhere that water exists through the magic of the hand
• enhances his TP with the hand he could breach Martian Manhunters defenses that he couldn't without it.
• dehydration (only used twice IIRC) draining all water from others

It does make Arthur herald level but I see no way that he can put down Firelord and FL can KO him.

Ironically Arthur did have an enemy in his classic SA years who was solar powered who he defeated ( with a mirror, tricked him into firing an energy blast at him and deflected it back to fry his enemy with his own power. I don't see that working here.

This was a dimensional entity that Arthur was able to breach the defenses of when MMH could not. This is NOT because Arthur is a more powerful TPer than Jonn but because hist TP works on the subconscious part of the brain rather than higher function areas like most.

Ok well roll with that. But Spiderman never actually fought Firelord. Firelord was showing off and just stood there letting Spiderman nail him as many times as he could. After a few hundred free blows from a 50 tonner symbiot it was bound to catch up to Firelord eventually. @sunman:

No way Aquaman can beat an herald of Galactus I never saw an herald put down by a psychic attack I think galactus made sure they could not be put down by those, beside himself He is a telepathe of a the higher all of them can resist TP attack lets face it Firelord will fry Arthur like a fish if he use water against Firelord is like somebody who try to stop a building on fire with his urine (sorry for the expression)

They didn't really fight, so it wasn't a loss, but Superman got punched off panel on page 5 and didn't come back till page 15. That's a pretty decent time frame, so he didn't "bounce right back". Bouncing right back is like when Shazam punched Superman, and he literally came back on the same page.

Its irrelevant anyway since this match is Pre-52 Aquaman.
