Creel could beat him in his standard form, I don't know much about this incarnation but if it's an upgrade then he should still win.

Regular Absorbing Man can do the trick, in the worst case Aquaman impales him and he absorbs the trident and its powers (The trident isn't stronger than a cosmic cube and he had no problems absorbing that).

Absorbing Man absorbs water, drowns him.

Was thinking the same thing. All it would take is for him to touch his indestructible trident, and he would be far too durable to be damaged by physical blows. I doubt Arthur could use his trident to pierce something of the same material. Aquaman lacks the abilities of Thor to get rid of Creel, and his telepathy isn't like his Pre-Flashpoint version so he would have pretty much no way to win. That's only normal Creel too.

Since when can Aquaman be drowned?

@brax: hydration doesn't affect aquaman's power, its just if its at a beach or something aquaman would have a large advantage whereas in a city creel would, because of all that sweet sweet metal

One is cosmic power, the other is mystical magic power. 2 different things, just because he absorbed CC doesn't mean he can absorb the Trident.
