@D3athstroke: Sentry has never shown the full extent of his power. His showing in World War Hulk was an embarassment compared to what he is really capable of.
@D3athstroke: I always perceived that as the Sentry entering the outer layers of the sun briefly (hence why he begins to get incinerated), as he has survived near the sun without such trouble in the past. Both issues have been written by Bendis.
I agree that it's not as clear cut as I remembered it while reading the issue, though.
Like Morpheus_ posted, Sentry has been inside the sun in the Collective arc, and the sun killed Sentry so much that he didn't even made it to Siege (Insert a lot of sarcasm in here), in fact you just need to read the last 2 panels to realize that, in case you haven't been following New Avengers or Dark Avengers, or even Siege to realize that if he got there, he survived it. That is an example of how Sentry changes his durability, and also, Apollo loses here.

He didn't change his durability.When Sentry first fought the Void he threw him into the sun because it was detached from Reynolds..now that they are two parts of the same host..Sentry flew himself in the sun.The part that gets burned is the Void.That has nothing to do with durability either.The Void is weak to sunlight.
The Sentry should take it. If this were Helios, i'd think differently, Helios has always seemed a bit more combative to me, esp. how they portrayed him in GoW.
