Anakin at the end of the Episode 2 and Luke at the end of Episode 5.
Both have a single Lightsaber.
Honestly feeling that luke could win. However, anakind does have some better feats at times in aotc.
Been done, Anakin wins. Faster, stronger, more skilled, more powerful, more combatively useful powers, etc. He has most edges except for emotional control which is overblown and isn't ging to stop him from winning a majority.

People referencing Anakin's tendency to lose control of his emotions during fights isn't "overblowing" it.
@i_like_swords: Hardly. Anakin's loss of control in AotC is explained as the circumstances relating to his mother's death and his inability to control himself in front of the Count (who had just killed numerous Jedi) and he didn't want Obi-Wan to know about his mother, hence why he rushed Dooku out of a loss of control. Not really applicable here, and other than that, Anakin's hindrance of emotions are less common than him being enhanced through rage.
And yes, it's overblown. People literally state it as the sole reason for why Anakin loses entire fights and give the opposition the majority just for that. That's what happens in AotC Anakin threads.
@shootingnova: I agree it shouldn't be a deciding factor for an entire fight but I get the feeling that you just dislike any mention of it, period.
@i_like_swords: Well, I do dislike it because it's always being brought up as the reason for why he loses and it's not as if it's only a negative trait. If it's brought up more sensibly then I wouldn't have any issues with it. And Luke has also lost control at times. The good thing is that is hasn't been mentioned yet, which hopefully will remain the case in most Anakin threads (or that it'll be mentioned without being the one reason why Anakin loses).
At least we can agree that it won't be deciding who wins the majority, and we should leave it at that.
@shootingnova: The only thing is Anakin is prone to getting angry. Reading through Republic comics and Labyrinth of Evil alone, I saw Anakin getting angry in numerous situations far less stressful than fighting his future son in a fight to the death. When he's emotional, he is more powerful and dangerous, but also more reckless. It's a double edged sword. That's how I see it, anyway.
@i_like_swords: Except the amount of times it hinders him < the amount of times it helps him or doesn't alter a fight significantly. I agree it happens many times, but it's obviously overrated as well.
Luke should take it here. Anakin's lack of emotional control will be his undoing.
@shootingnova: Well, being the Chosen One does help with that :P
@i_like_swords: He might have been joking, but you do see the point?
@shootingnova: I do indeed.
Anakin wouldn't stomp or nearly stomp since Luke is just below him in skill (Anakin has challenged Dooku, Luke has challenged Vader, and there's not much of a difference between the two). He's just better physically and more powerful, but none of these are solid edges. It's actually a pretty close fight, no more than 7-8/10 for Anakin, really.
Skywalker
lol
I agree 100% Ive seen the emotional argument augment battles on here too its annoying because it really is a double edge sword. Anyway you guys covered it well, I dont need to add to it.
Anakin 7/10.
Luke should take it here. Anakin's lack of emotional control will be his undoing.
I have no idea how emotional control could factor into this fight. It's a negligible subject.
And AoTC Anakin has literally no emotional problems other than seeing his mother die and going berserker on tuskens.
So to suggest ESB Luke wins any rounds because of emotional control, let alone a majority, is laughable.
That being said, Luke can win some rounds, but not a majority.
Anakin is still superior in most areas, especially power.
Anakin for the solid majority. Aankin has more formal training, more skill and has more raw power. Luke is practically a novice at this point and had not been training for long. He was also untrained in the force, which he was still learning.
Anakin was competing with Dooku for awhile in AOTC. He should win here, Luke only had like a couple months training at most in ESB.
