Amon vs Zaheer

Amon bloodbends him with a thought.

Amon blond bends Zaheer and wins

In character Amon would try to chi block Zaheer, using his bloodbend to mess with his aim and later nullify his bending power. But Amon has demonstrated to have problems with air attacks, so Zaheer would get the upper hand initially. Then Amon would go Bloodbend. Now is the trick question, can Zaheer break free Amon's grapple? If Mako could I think Zaheer can too but after that Zaheer would have to end the fight pretty quickly or he would be bloodbended again.

Could Amon Bloodbend Zaheer while the air is bend away of his lungs?

It would be a interesting fight. Each would take 5 wins out of 10.

@wbr17: good thoughts on that, but i feel mako lucked out more than anything and IIRC amon's attention wasn't fully locked onto mako, but i could be wrong.

@killerwasp: I used to think that way but now I think that Amon's bloodbend isn't that strong. If you think he didn't finished the training with his father and he didn't like bend. After he left he pursued to learn how to nullify bending powers, so he went to master chi blocking then he developed his unique bloodbend technique that is more focus in finesse/skill than raw power, I mean blocking bending and messing with aim, also he needed time to became a leader, study how to herd people around him, speech etc. With that I think he trade raw power to variety.

But that's how I picture it. I think that is better that way than plot victory lol

@wbr17: thing is, is that he out did his brother whom was alredy powerful enough for korra, and he did it with ease, so thats why i say that and is the only reason. Granted is basically ABC logic, but still lol.

And good point about his brother. I don't have answers for that, unless I argue that it was a defensive movement and that is different of bend the blood of another body. He actually didn't bloodbend his brother IIRC

@killerwasp: His brother did it. I meant Amon didn't bend his brother, only use it to take away the bend. That's why I said that it would be only a defensive feat.

But I'm only thinking on possibilities to avoid plot victory.

But what of Zaheer's flight. How much distance would Amon have with his blood bending?

With bloodbending on Zaheer loses plain and simple.

With bloodbending: Zaheer becomes a huge red splotch.

Without bloodbening: Zaheer wins, no question.

Amon wins the majority with Blood Bending. Otherwise, Zaheer can assault him from range.

Amon 10/10 with bloodbending, even split but slightly in Amon's favor with no bloodbending.

Amon isn't likely to start Bloodbending from the outset. If Zaheer goes for air removal straight away he has a chance to win, otherwise Amon eventually takes it.

Amon bloodbends Zaheer, takes away his bending and tells Zaheer to cuz he's lossed interest.

Amon due to blood bending.

Zaheer gets crushed.

If they're in character, Amon is not going for the direct bloodbending kill. Instead he'll use his quickness and agility first. If Zaheer can take him out early in the fight with air removal, then he has it. But if Amon notices how powerful Zaheer is before it's too late, he'll take the win. Also, Amon doesn't do to well against airbending(I mean look what korra did).

The only reason Amon didn't always go straight for bloodbending is because he was trying to preserve the illusion of being a nonbender. He doesn't have that problem here.

Korra knocked him out a window with the element of surprise and PIS. She "won" by causing him to reveal himself as a bender

Totally agree, but once Amon sees Zaheer take flight, I doubt he's going to hold back.

Korra and Mako overcoming Amon's bloodbending was PIS. Bloodbending was established to unbreakable(unless on a full moon). Yakone blood bent an entire courtroom including Aang and Toph whilst handcuffed. Ultimately, the only way Aang could overcome it was by entering the avatar state. Amon is more powerful and yet, Mako and Korra broke his grip. PIS

Is Amon stronger than Yakone in pure bloodbending?

@thelurker Well, considering that he use bloodbending to take away bending, I would say yes.

So I'm not the only one who believes that if Amon had fought Mako and Korra earlier in the season they wouldn't have broken free from his bloodbending.

This is silly, not sure why I created this post. Amon is truly the most powerful bender in the entire series, save for Yakone and the Avatars in the Avatar-state.

@silentbat: Again no hes not, besides Yakone ( which u said ) and Unalaq mixed with vaatu. Also Zhao would wipe the floors against Amon.... Hes Zhao the Invincible! XD
