Amazo(JLU) vs Protege

Whoever the author says. We don't know much about the extent and limitations of Amazo's powers, other than the fact that extremely powerful magic can give him problems.

Going with Protege. Copying Jla was impressive, but copying LT is way beyond impressive..

I hate characters that can copy the powers of other beings. Almost impossible to decide who would come on top.

Can Protege copy his own powers? Then Amazo could just copy Protege's ability to copy Protege's powers, then copy Protege's power to copy LT's powers, then copy LT's powers from Protege. And then the universe implodes.

In terms of a battle of copying powers it would be like someone taking a singshot with some rocks (Amazo) to fight like five tanks and each tank is armed with homing rockets (Protege).

Doesn't mean that Amazo can't do something similar or just copy Protege himself.

Amazo never showed limitations, but his best feat is nowhere near thew level of Protege's... so Protege wins.

That doesn't make me believe anything. They can just copy one another and be equal... I don't see how Protege curbstomps.

@batman242: I highly doubt that Amazo can copy the powers of the four guys I mention and even if he can then where was he during "Crisis on infinite Earths" when Anti-Monitor was destroying the multiverse?

But Amazo still woun't win this battle if he can copy the powers of those guys because it would end in a stalemate (which it woun't).

He can for a fact, just copy Protege and end it in a stalemate. I never said he'd win either. I just don't see how Protege can curbstomp someone who can be at his exact level.

I disagree though. Who is the strongest person/thing amazo ever copied? We can't assume his copying power is limitless, even if he is very capable of copying high tier superheroes, will he be able to duplicate the same feat on a high tier cosmic? I don't recall him having any feats of doing so.

Well to be nice, the most powerful thing that Amazo copied was the Worlogog, if you don't know what it is, It is a complete map of the space-time continuum of the DCU which grants the owner mastery of time and space.

That's still nothing compered to the Living Tribunal who witch Protege copied!!!!!!

P.S. sorry for bumping this thread but I just wanted to tell you what was the most powerful thing Amazo copied.

Protege stomps. Amazo hasn't got any feats to suggest that he is even remotely close to Protege.

I don't think you guys are getting this.

One of the reasons Protege stomps Amazo is because Amazo has to fight his opponents in order to copy there powers.

Protege one the other hand doesn't! (though he does have to that least see his opponents using there powers to copy them).

Thus Protege can look that Amazo's powers then teleport to a different place and copy Amazo's powers, flawless victory.

Mismatch. Protege can just turn himself invisible if he wants to, Amazo has to be able to see his oponents to copy their powers.

Plus there's the fact that Amazo has never shown copying abilities of this level.
