Dont know much about these guys but after reading up on their powers it seems like they are pretty much the same character, so if that's the case than I guess you can just flip a coin to pick a winner

My bet is on Amazo, though in truth this is one of the most evenly matched fights ever.

Can't they just both copy each other's powers and become pretty much exactly the same?

Actually I don't know a lot about comic book AMAZO. I just know in the Justice League Animated Series he could copy powers, and all I know about Super Adaptoid is that he has the Avengers powers.

If that is the case (Amazo being JLA in a body and Adaptoid being Avengers in a body), this isn't an even match at all. We already know the Avengers get stomped in every thread with JLA vs Avengers, and considering this is basically the same except with their powers in one body, it is an even harder stomp.

Adaptoid has no answer to Flash's speed, Martian Manhunters mindfucking, Batman and WW H2H, etc.

well i say AMAZO Only because hes already has the powers of the JL and hes traveled the universe already and gained TONS of power in JL: unlimited tv series

@czarny_samael666: I have not actually read up on Super Adaptoid at all, apart from the one story arc in Avengers where he faced off against Kubik and copied his powers. Sorry man, dont know enough about Super Adaptoid to make a case.

@killemall: After that he was defeated by Captain America,because he couldn't overcome his will and fighting spirit (defeat him in h2h). Later Kubik,remove a portion of the cosmic cube stored in it's body and put Adaptoid in hibernation,in the latest appearance that I can remember he was controlled by Phalanx to catch Phyla-Vell,but was defeated because tricked in order to him to use his imagination, what he does not have

Adaptoid had already copied Captain America's strength, speed, agility as well as fighting skill, but he had an inherent advatange over Captain America, while Captain America would tire he wouldnt. Captain America however tricked him because of his ego, to quote Captain America

Captain claimed human are superior because they can die while Super Adaptoid cannot, in reply , to prove his superiority Super Adaptoid dies.

What? He was defeated because he crashed into a floating asteroid. It knocked him out cold, and this was while he allegedly had the combined durability of all the Avengers.

Well, think of this, A.M.A.Z.O. has all the powers of the Justice League and Super-Adaptoid has all the powers of the Avenger's. Well, if A.M.A.Z.O. copies the powers of Super-Adaptoid and Super-Adaptoid does the same to A.M.A.Z.O., wouldn't they be evenly matched....there would be no winner.

Super-Adaptoid can copy objects too, Mjolnir/nega-bands/Iron Man armor. Does Amazo do that too?

Not necessarily. There is a difference in one vs. one due to redundancies in powers. Easy illustration:

1. Who wins, 25 Green Lanterns vs. 1 Green Lantern? Obviously 25.
2. Who wins, Amazo who copied 25 Green Lanterns vs. Amazo who copied 1 Green Lantern? Stalemate (assume all 25 are same species).

It doesn't matter that Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Superman are all physically strong, since only the strongest will pass on their power. You'll find a lot of the JL powers become redundant (strength/speed/durability/flight etc.)

I'll vote for Amazo. In part, because of the more powerful beings it has copied, but mainly because the Super Adaptoid limited to the number of entities it can copy at one time (eight IIRC), and I don't think that Amazo has such a limitation. That coupled with it's lack of imagination put the Super Adaptoid at a significant disadvantage IMO.

Of course, it could all hinge on what eight beings the SA copies, and whether or not Amazo is functioning at the poor level of performance it was when Batman took it down solo (well, Nightwing helped a little.)

Amazo's just a better version of the Adaptoid. Granted, the Adaptoid has copied composites like Mimic, but this is a different spin all together, and I can't see Quicksilver speed matching to Wally.

Amazo is a better power replicatior in every way. He doesn't get overloaded when copying too many powers, he actually combines and uses them somewhat creatively, something Adaptoid is incapable of doing, he doesn't have a problem with copying weird artifacts (unlike Adaptoid), his best showing (copying Worlogog) is much better than Adaptoid's unassisted showings and he doesn't get screwed over by powers he copies like Adaptoid frequently does.

To be fair, that's not 100% true considering there's been occasions where Adaptoid has used powers combined (like QS speed with Hercules' strength, or adding two character's speed together to catch someone, stacking TP to effect someone easier) but yeah, Adaptoid is mostly just using one power at a time.

Amazo seems to have had better powers more often than Adaptoid, therefore a larger capacity for speed and power. Going with Amazo.
