• Composite Pre-Schrödinger Alucard at the peak of his power
• DMC 2 Dante with game, anime, and comic feats

Stipulations:

• Dante has all of his gear and styles
• Spawn and Alucard have their standard gear
• Alucard starts in level 3, but he can go all the way down to level 0
• No prep or prior knowledge, but mind reading to gain knowledge is allowed
• Every character is in character/morals on, but they are all determined to win
• Victory is by only by death/BFR, incapacitation, and knockout are all off the table

I see that you have a considerable amount of posts, but do you consistently read or keep up to date with Spawn material? I feel like you wouldn't be saying this if you did.

Not as much as I would like to. The last stuff I've read was Downings over at Barnes and Noble a few months back. (Also, I asked you first, considering you made a claim that isn't entirely accurate <_<).

Did some re-reading though and if I'm correct, then Hell King Spawn would be in his Second Age incarnation, which is actually kind of overkill here. Funny thing about Spawn is that, depending on the version, he's one of the few characters who can beat Dante in versatility and hax powers.

Just want to reiterate what kitsune_kusanagi said, time stopping. As far as I remember king of hell spawn is able to stop time, read minds, basically has precognition. Plus you all seem to have forgotten that spawn feeds on sin, and with Alucard there, well....he's basically got himself a feast.

@sirfizzwhizz: Weeeeell, in his second age incarnation I agree, and MAYBE in his third age incarnation (the latter being very debatable).

Since Second Age Spawn (AKA Hell King Spawn) is being used, then yeah, the team isn't winning this one.

@106me: Even non Hell King would win. First Age feat would be near enough, Second Age is more than enough. Hell King Spawn was only like 2 comics, and Divine like 3. Rest of Second Age is just average Spawn. 3rd Age is weaker because he loses Legion, but now 4th age, or 5th age however you want to look at it is as powerful as before.

@sirfizzwhizz: Well yes, Hell King and obviously Divine would stomp, but I don't think first would win a majority. But that's probably because we disagree on Dante's power level.

Downings Spawn would be stomped by Dante.

But as for third and current age spawn, I can't really say.

I always thought Third Age spawn was an upper Herald level character, I don't know. Maybe I'm just thinking of post-Divine spawn.

I guess I have some re-reading to do.

@106me: post Divine is weaker. Downing is around same same level. Spawn Resurrected is as powerful as second age Spawn.

During Spawn #116 Cogliostro said that Al was in fact, using Malebolgia's powers(albeit, pieces of his power in reality since Malebolgia real bateries were sealed away before his dead).

He went to the alleys to stop Spawn from doing this since, our favorite Antihero was slowly turning himself into a monster, by using this demonic power source. Spawn denied this and said that the power wasn't reshaping him, but the other way around. Then Al gave him a speech about how he was using the power to change the world, creating a new Eden for everyone.

So, Al used the leftover of malebolgia's might during 18 comics or so, then in hell he superboosted with hell energy itself and took the crown. He wasn't Hellking until issue 120 or so, but he was still tapping on Malebolgias bateries, and using the power of the king(and not hell itself).

Everything you said is right, but Spawn from comics 116 to whatever was still Spawn not accessing his full power. Remember, he had even greater power in Legion which he could not fully use, nor knew about to around 140ish issues. Also Spawn as we both know had a depowerment after Hell king when Spawn was granted a living body for a time before that was changed back to his undead body.

So either way, Spawn second age was always around Hell King power. Just not true Hell King except those two issues. problem with second age is he had various amps, and power jumps.

Issues 100-160 (IIRC) have Spawn with minor power boost, to then Hell King Spawn, to living body Spawn, to then Legion accessing Spawn, to Divine Spawn, to finally God Spawn.

The end result for three of the versions, the post killed Malbolgia, living body, and Legion accessing Simmons are all feat wise the same. Hell King, Divine, and God being clear huge jumps in power.
