So Adam starts off with the Soul Gem but since he’s composite that means he has the Infinity Gauntlet.

Soul Gem Warlock is immune to TP the reason being is when he had the Infinity Gauntlet he decided no one should enter his mind. Thanos even respects how he thought ahead

@thenewbluebeetle007: ehh in a way Doc Strange should always be a threat no matter who he is up against (within reason) but Warlock happens to be very very good with Magical Energies and can manipulate them easily.

it would also depend on what attacks Strange tries first and if he is smart enough to put shields up.

If he puts shields up he could potentially cause minor problems here and there but nothing serious.

Its why Dr. Fate or Alan Scott dont really concern me for your tourney but people like MMH do.

@ancient_god: what? I assume you're referring to the thread in my tournament where I said that I know more dc than marvel. Well I've read some green lantern, some justice League, a LOT of firestorm. Red hood and the outlaws, Blue Beetle, Teen titans, are others.

The Reed Wank is getting out of control here.

really doesn't matter if you know more dc than marvel but i wish know plus firestorm what other DC characters you know a lot?

@ancient_god: But not in 5 minutes. Anyway, my knowledge on Warlock is pretty rudimentary but I think I understand his powers now. I see the illuminati taking this for a couple of reasons. The only two serious factors here are Strange and Black Bolt. While Strange will be in an uphill battle trying to directly harm Warlock with magic (Although I think he could cause slight damage if he uses more blunt forms of attack), he can still give Bolt the opening needed to unleash a scream or two in order to drop Warlock. First the Illuminati simply rushes Warlock, and although his travel speed is far superior, his reaction speed seems like a gateway. While they attempt to distract him, Strange puts some fields and makes BB intangible. From here Strange uses an isolation spell capable of restraining an amped up Juggernaut. This would only have to hold for a couple seconds (I'm not sure if Warlock can go intangible, but I believe the spell can trap spirits and other intangible beings). This offers no energy for Warlock to absorb, and should therefore be resistant to his direct mystical distortion. BB only needs a single full on scream to at least greatly injure or KO Warlock. From here he can unleash full power on Warlock while under sufficient protection to resist threatening attacks (at least for a while). Eventually Warlock goes down.

@ancient_god: I don't claim to be the most knowledgeable person on anyone. But let's just say that if I was to choose someone to CaV with, I would probably choose kyle rayner, red hood, and blue beetle, in that order (assuming I'm not using marvel or firestorm)

and for marvel what characters you know a lot or at least anything? you use anytime blue beetle in a CAV? i like him but i wish know more about BB

Too Soul Gem classic or nerfed? Classic gems are much more powerful (universal+ at least by themselves) and Strange can use black magic?

@ancient_god: I've followed the x-men, and I really like Magneto (fatal attractions was awesome), I also thought WW Hulk was good, and I've dabbled in hulk in the past.

I've never used Jaime (bb) in a CaV. His potential is enormous, but his best feat now is maybe beating a flash clone.

@thenewbluebeetle007: Because i wish a CAV against BB (maybe Pre-52 have more feats?) but i don't know what character is a good match for him (maybe Ronan or Kang/ Dr Doom (without prep)?) and i don't remember a lot of nerfed gems but again i lost a lot of comics in the last years

@firestormfate1919: i would counter all your points but that would reveal to much. let me put it this way unless Dr. Strange puts up shields he gets one-shotted real fast

@serrure: It seems like Warlock has some pretty good magic resistance feats in that case. I really hope I don't go up against you in the actual tournament. Fate is my heaviest hitter by far.

@firestormfate1919: he manipulates magical energies and has manipulated energy on a universal scale. Not to mention his shields tanked a point blank star exploding (and thats not even his soul gem feats)

@serrure: I think my team would be able to come out top in the end, but a nullified Fate definently won't look good for my team. As for the shields, I still think Black Bolt's scream can drop him. A point blank star doesn't actually unleash any more proportionate energy than a normal star. And given the amount of people a holding back BB has decimated who can survive inside the core of a star, I think Bolt has the power output to get the job done. The problem seems to be getting Warlock still long enough to hit him. The Illuminati just doesn't have speed on its side.
