Kent has stalemated the Spectre more than once.

He has also lasted longer in battle with the Spectre than almost anyone but Nabu himself.

In fact his only loss to the Spectre was after a 7 page battle and the Spectre was under the sway of Kulak thanks to the ring of life. That means we're pretty much talking a blood lusted Spectre ( Kulak being the god of hate)

Trust me Adam is going to need a LOT more than the soul gem to take down Kent Fate. That's the version of Fate who could telekinetically move a planet into a sun, absorb any form of energy and re-use it in the way he wanted, recreated the world after it was destroyed in one of his fights, generated a blast that was felt on the other side of s different universe, Who was as physically strong and invulnerable as Superman even without his magic, and more. Basically Classic Strange level

Damn. I think I made a spite thread.

Classic Infinity Gems by himself are an universal+ level item at least, but not all have the feats to prove it. The Soul Gem is one of the group who have the feats

Well, there's no way of truly killing Adam Warlock, that's not something I would consider Doctor Fate being able to do, but Doctor Fate is still probably significantly more powerful than Adam Warlock, so if this fight is asking who is more powerful, it's Doctor Fate, but in a fight between them, it'd be neverending.

Depends heavily on versions of each.
