Adam has a wide array of powers much too wide for Cap Atom to handle. He can manipulate cosmic energy as well as radiation and can easily cause Caps suit to explode. The dark side of Warlock called the magus was a universal threat.

I kinda find it funny that it's always the same people that want to think Atom's suit could easily explode, when it doesn't even get breached as much as people think. It shows how little people know about him. People should really start to inquire about a character, before they go acting like they know something about him/her. Adam Warlock can win this one. It all depends on how he handles one of captain Atom's energy blasts.

I was gonna say Captain Atom but after reading through the debate I got more informed on Warloc. I mean I knew he was powerful but I didn't know he was that powerful. It will still be a good battle though.

@vance_astro: I am pretty new around here, I hate to bump this, but you made an awesome argument. Adam is my favorite character in comics.He would win this battlw for a majority in a close bout every time.

This might come down to who gets surprised. Both have the ability to end the fight extremely quickly. If Warlock has the soul gem, he can steal Captain's Atom's soul. The fact that Captain Atom was an ordinary human before his origin means he has an ordinary soul, which Warlock would pretty much own. (Souls such as Asgardian nobles like Thor can be more difficult to contain.) Modern Warlock has strong magic at his disposal, and if he is bloodlusted, he would probably turn into the Magus and cause a lot of trouble for anyone, including someone who has command of nuclear forces. The Magus' ability to control magic could surpass classic Doctor Strange.
