Who wins in a fight between the Avatar and the Princess of Tamaran?

Avatar Aang
Avatar Aang

vs.

Animated Starfire
Animated Starfire

The fight takes place in the Savage Land:

No Caption Provided

Bonus: How would Aang do against the comic version of Starfire?

Comic Starfire
Comic Starfire

I'm not going to use the DCnU version of Starfire since its still kinda early in the series.

He probably loses major to the comic version though. But Teen Titans the series downplayed sooo many people

I don't think he would do all that badly against either of them. With his ability to enter the Avatar State, he would be quite powerful, and is quite fast in his own right. His command over wind would give both versions of Starfire some trouble. Not to mention that he can hide in the jungles of the Savage Land which would provide some cover.

I'm not saying his guaranteed a win, but I think he has a better chance than what some people are giving him.

1. Animated Starfire was strong enough to swing tall buildings like baseball bats.

2. When she fought a clone of Cyborg, she destroyed his arm in one punch.

3. Aang looses both rounds.

Starfire wins; too strong, fast, and powerful whether it be comic or animated version. The animated version would be more of a fight, but she'd still be able to win.

Against Animated Starfire, maybe. Against the comic? No he gets absolutely slaughtered.

lol touche. However...

1. She was being fed h2h skill/tactical advice by Slade at the time.

2. Terra dropped everyone on the team that day.

3. They were holding back because she was their friend.

4. Starfire has everything she needs to win here.

HAHAHA Well SOMEONE has to play for the other team. Otherwise this could get boring :(

1. It still leaves Aang with some sort of hope, as Avatar state allows him knowledge and skills that MIGHT be as formidable as the info Terra was being fed. Aang could very well drop Starfire, and come up with defenses in time to respond to her powers (he could also die, but that's been established.lol)

2. That's another point I was going to bring up. None of the Teens are as noteworthy as their comic-counterparts (The REAL comic counterparts, not the comic based off of the animated show.lol)

3. Starfire was still trying to beat the hell out of her BEFORE she held back.

4. Aang could counter her advantages.....especially speed.

Robin was yes, but only because he was running on watered down toon force for most of the series

LOL @ the bold section

Starfire's bolts have been shown as..........evadable. Aang's natural speed enhanced with his powers could very well prove to be more than a challenge for her. I just know that in all the time I've seen her on that series, I've never thought "Oh snaps! She's gonna take out EVERYBODY!" In fact, she was structured, yet..........sloppy as a fighter in one too many showings. Her tank skills will easily be the WORST thing that Aang will have to counter, and I've seen her get downed by somewhat similar forces. I'm not saying she's fodder, but I am saying this is not a stomp when it comes to the animated version.....

Though her fight with Terra also has her with plenty of good "Earth" counters.

I think he'd die.lol

If it were her INTRODUCTION to the teen titans self that he was fighting, I'd say he stood a better chance. But since that was AGES ago, absolutely not.

Oh, it will be most glorious! Starfire will practice the ancient tamaranean battle tactic of "the charging in", while firing starbolts! She will likely miss repeatedly, but it will be irrelevant as she is far too durable to be harmed by anything air-related! Then she will suddenly realize that she is a super-alien capable of space flight, and move at mach speeds to catch the small bald child and crush the life out of him! A splendid occasion shall be had by al!l ^_^

The fact that I can picture this being said in character makes me believe that this post is truly noteworthy.

The problem is his airbending can't hurt Starfire, but if he goes Avatar State, he doesn't know what he's doing, so it's hard to say against the animated version.

Comic version stomps him.

IT CAN'T?

This is debatable to me, because she's nowhere near her comic self, and she's been struck down by lesser objects and people.

@White Mage: The only thing he ever does with his air bending is deflect objects.

The only time he ever used his air bending that can be considered powerful was when he lifted a rock to create the illusion that Katara was earth-bending. And he didn't even do anything with it, just levitated it a couple inches.

Whereas he deflects objects his enemy throws at him. Unless he can deflect starbolts, i don't think he can take this.

To quote King Bumi, Aang's fighting style is "classic Airbender technique, avoid and evade."

I counter by saying that it doesn't mean that animated starfire won't be affected by his air bending. It just means he's less likely to use it on her in the same way that someone like Thor would.

@White Mage: I've never actually seen Aang use his air for offense. NEVER.

Whenever they come up against Fire Nation, him and Sokka were useless and Katara solo'd with waterbending. The only times Aang ever took out any significant number of Fire Benders was when he and Sokka did not have Katara, and even then, Sokka took out about the same number with his club/boomerang thingy.

Horrible, horrible, horrible mismatch in favor of Starfire. Even in the cartoon version, nothing that Aang has can really hurt her, and one bolt from her will put Aang out for the count. Unlike as was the case with Azula's lightning, Katara's spirit water ain't gonna heal Aang back to life when he gets struck down by Starfire's starbolts.

Aang also has really low durability. One punch from Starfire will end him, point blank. Plot and jobbing aside, Starfire seriously rips him a new one. She's insanely faster, stronger, and more durable than him. And at long range, she has extremely deadly starbolts that will vaporize or simply deathblast him. Not even a fight.

Aang is no match for Starfire, whatsoever; he gets shredded badly. Starfire crushes him. The end.

Aang has never shown the ability to bloodbend. And once again, one punch from Starfire, which she is more than capable of closing the distance to do so with her insane speed, will end Aang. Avatar State isn't going to save him from a skull shattering punch or starbolt that makes Azula's lightning look like a joke.

Comic book Starfire>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> cartoon Starfire>>>>>>>>>>> Avatar State Aang>>>>>>>>> regular Aang.

Aang gets fried, punched, or a gruesome combination of the two.
