Aang and Korra in avatar state would have the knowledge and bending powers of every Avatar before them. That's the only thing stopping them from getting stomped by Natsu and Gajeel. In terms of physical stats, the FT team trumps Team Avatar completely. But The Avatars knowledge of bending MAY BE enough to fend off anything the FT duo throws at them. May be in the sense that, they have no feats to suggest that they can bend/deflect/absorb Natsu and Gajeel's (Dragonforced at that) uber-destructive attacks. It's not just elemental attacks they can throw, it's magic elemental attacks. That's something that could be all the difference.
Then again Avatar state is probably capable of just doing something like Chibaku Tensei considering all the knowledge and power it contains. So I don't know who would win here.
Ok well first Aang and Korra are immediately prevented from using Fire Bending in an offensive manner Natsu just eats it, Natsu and Gajeel have far greater durability so Aang and Korra are going to have to pull off some pretty big Earth bending attacks if they want hurt team FT, especially if Gajeel goes into his Iron Scales mode.
Also Aang and Korra have no answer for Gajeel's Iron Dragon Slayer attacks, neither of them can Metal Bend, and no, no past Avatar knows how to metal bend, not even Avatar Kyoshi, Toph was the first Metal Bender so there's no using past powers of previous Avatars to metal bend.
Natsu has dealt with people who use Air and Wind as offensive weapons (Erigor whom I consider to have the same level of air control as Aang, maybe greater since he can fly) so I don't know how Aang mastery over Air Bending helps here.
Water Bending probably isn't enough to stop Natsu or Gajeel either.

This
Natsu and gajeels speed and physical capabilities are almost enough by themselves much less with magic enabled AND DragonForce
Sorry aang and korra but you just can't keep up
