In this battle, Aang will test his earth and waterbending skills against Korra's air and firebending, who will win?

Korra is perfectly healthy for this fight. Neither Avatar has the Avatar State

Fight takes place in the Spirit World where Wan fought Vaatu, in perpetual twilight. Starting distance is 50 feet

Both are in character but determined. Victory by ko or death

Who will win?

Bonus Round: For this round, Aang will have all agility feats as though he had airbending. Who wins?

Aangs earth and Korras fire are both VERY impressive. I think Aangs water has an advantage over Korras air though. Aang wins the slight majority but Very good battle. Btw do u only do avatar threads?lol

What do you think gives Aang's water an edge over Korra's air? Think the bonus round makes anything different?

The problem with Aang is that he has very limited water bending feats.

@gxrevolution96: true I was kind of assuming based on how he learned with katara who is a powerful bender. But look back on it it is pretty flaws logic... I might need to rethink his one

@arcus: if I was wrong and Korras air= Aangs water I think Korra would win due to her more agressive nature I think Aang would hold back. If Aang were to unload he'd definitely take anyone in the avatar verse on...

Aang for the win, aside from being the better bender (I think) he's more agile and a better tactician

@rolanddeschaingokughostrider: Most of his agility comes from airbending, which he doesn't have (though I allowed him his agility feats only in the bonus round). What makes him the better bender or tactician?

@arcus: in the shows he often comes up with full plans. I have not seen this in cora

@arcus: if I remember correctly admiral Jiao,shark,or whatever was coming after them and was invading a swamp during the fire saga and HE was the one who came up with the plan. Quick thinking, and tactics

@arcus: seriously? Twas in the swamp he became an admiral he'd always been a general before that. It was after sang learned firebendinf

@rolanddeschaingokughostrider: They didn't go to the swamp until season 2, Zhao was in book 1.

Korra takes this, when korra has the feat that matches and surpasses aang people still say aang.

Well it's just two element and aang is somewhat featless on water compared to korra.

@arcus: Aang's rock armor can block most if not all of Korra's attacks and his bending is more powerful in general.

@arcus: yes she can tag him, and people saying his bending is more powerful in general is just bias, they are about equal in bending.

Being the avatar mean both are walking PIS device, so the only way to guage them is by feats and korra has better bending feats(:

spirit energy bending(though has a water bender it helped her, but hey aang had meditation as a kid because he was air).

Cosmic energy bending( she possibly created it as she never depend on raava again she created a cosmic energy form of herself).

Though in this fight they are useless.

She will tag him, her fire attacks pack a real punch, and her air attacks and also "aggressive", he's agile but not untouchable.

@arcus: Yes, reasons would be when he uses his air bending moves to evade, he doesn't usually caste as much fire or water, which in turn gives him a lesser output ratio and more of an evading ratio, in turn it makes it about equal and thus is why i would most likely say again it could go either way. The first round is pretty well established so not necessary to discuss that.

@arcus: they are kinda even in this match, korra's blast are strong, aang has the agility and reflex, so i thinki go with killerwasp but leaning towards korra.

@arcus: Aang was at his best against Ozai where he was blocking repeated comet enhanced blasts. What happened before doesn't supersede those showing because Aang got better and better.

@night4345: disregard what I had before, wrong thread and I just got confused. Anyway, Aang's earth armor didn't stand up to Ozai very long

He was using earth and waterbending to block Ozai's blasts I wasn't talking about fire.

It took a point blank flame and it wasn't even destroyed. Aang left it after he got his bearings.

Then he made a ball of earth that Ozai had to create giant continuing blasts to break it.

I re watched the fight, the armor broke apart right as Ozai fired a blast, now what's hard to tell is did it break apart because Ozai blasted it or because Aang let it go and jumped away

It's worth noting that Aang was unable to go on the offensive for either of those moves, he's not gonna win by curling up in a ball
