A Tournament I Actually Plan to Finish - Sign Up

I don't know if you guys are aware, but I've created 2 tournaments in the past, and didn't finish either of them (Either 'cause I got too stressed/busy or just felt lazy). Not this time though, this time I actually plan to follow this one through, and correct all the errors of the previous ones I made to the best of my ability.

Ahem, anyways, welcome ladies and gents.

I suppose i'll just skip ahead to the restrictions.

CHARACTER RESTRICTIONS:

- This is a Mid-Level tournament; meaning all characters are recommended to be above Street Level, but characters such as Hulk, Superman, Thor, etc. are restricted.

- This is a mixed tournament; you're allowed to pick a character from any media.

- No Destructive Capacity exceeding Mountain Level.

- No Speed exceeding Hypersonic+.

- No Durability exceeding Mountain Level.

- No telepathy users greater than Emma Frost.

- No overly powerful exotic abilities (mindrape, soulrape, etc.)

- No Immortal characters (unless there is a way around their immortality).

If you have any other questions about restrictions, just ask.

BATTLE RULES:

- Each character gets 15 minutes of prep and full knowledge.

- State of mind is In-Character.

- Winner is determined by Death. (If a character refuses to kill while In-Character, assume they are for this tournament)

- Locations will be different for each battle, and determined by me.

Also, only the first 16 people may participate.

@joewell: My apologizes, I went out to eat and was logged onto my phone.I would have replied but I can't comment via mobile. Anyways, it's just a single character tournament.

@robertloucksjr: Mountain refers to an actual Mountain. If a character's Destructive Capacity/Durability is higher than a single mountain, they're restricted.

@throughmyeyez: What armor does he have?

@Spawn92: I'm not saying Task isn't allowed, it's just like I said: this is primarily a Mid-Level tourny, and thus it's encouraged to have someone who's above street level. If you really want him though, I can sign you up with him.

@Madame_Blossom: Scarlet Witch? As in the the character who's more or less as strong as Zatanna? I don't know much about her, but I 've heard she's way above Mid-Level.

@Stingerrain: Which Zatanna are you referring too? Post or Prime?

Scarlet Witch level fluctuates partly for writing so I'll let you decide.

@Madame_Blossom: I'm referring to Post-Crisis Zatanna. Anyways as there's a version of Scarlet Witch that doesn't exceed the limits, she's allowed.

@Stingerrain: Ooh okay. Then ummm.... the gypsy garb incarnation of her and the past. :)

@joewell: As cliched as it sounds, I plan to write the names of the contestants down and put them in a hat. The 1st and 2nd names I draw will compete against one another, same with the 3rd and 4th and so on.

I used to just set up the matches myself, but that didn't go so well in my opinion.

@Stingerrain: What is tk, phasing, energy manipulation limit?

TK: Nothing above Emma Frost level.

Phasing: As long it's not something they abuse In-Character (I.E. staying intangible for an hour straight) or it has limits then it's fine.

Energy Manipulation: With a power as broad as that, I don't really see any specific limits for it. Just as long they can't do it to a degree that they're insanely broken.

@Regal_Rumble_Man: With or without doors?

He's allowed either way, just wondering. (So long as he can't BFR everyone for an auto-win)

It is something that would be used for life or death.

What about mountain busting levels?

Also low level magic any stipulations.

@Mr_Ingenuity: What exactly do you mean by, "used for life or death?" Also, mountain busting level is fine. Oh and low level magic is fine as well, just nothing that's too overpowered like the Killing Curse from Harry Potter (I'm aware it can be avoided easily, but still).

@Stingerrain: Count me in, although I'm not sure who I want to use yet.

@Sovereign91001: Guyver Gigantic and Guyver Exceed seem a bit to powerful for this tournament based on his OBD profile. His base form is fine, though.

@Esquire: Was wondering when you'd comment. Now we just need Cadence and Nick and it'll be a standard tourny.

Anyways i'll put your character as TBA for now.

If a character could not cushion or dodge a lethal attack simply phase to nullify it.

To be honest my first thought was Roy Mustang (FMAB) but he has no speed or defense against water. So he's out.

Now I'm doing a full run down on what is fair.

Healing, illusion, defense, & summoning nothing major.

@Joygirl: Very well. What powers does she start with? Or do you intend to steal your opponent's powers?

@Mr_Ingenuity: The abilities you just listed are acceptable.
