In this battle, a team of Korras will take on Zuko, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee, who will win?

There are 4 Korras: 1 with waterbending only, 1 with firebending only, 1 with earthbending only, 1 with airbending only. No AS

Mai's projectiles cannot be metalbent.

Fight takes place in the Crystal Catacombs. Starting distance is 25 feet. Time is perpetual twilight

All are in character.

Korra favors using Earth and Fire.

I don't remember her using the seismic sense (Toph-O- vision) like Aang could, but she can metal bend at an intermediate level.

Korra Fire uses a lot. Where she has power, she lacks versatility.

She's effective and versatile with water but seldom uses it.

Her air bending is poor as she tries to apply it offensively rather than defensively.

Probably the Fire Nation siblings and the rogues. Korra with earthbending and airbending alone is too nerfed to do enough damage. And firebending Korra could give a good fight to either Azula or Zuko, but not to any two members on Team 2. Waterbending Korra will be hard to put down but in the end Team 2 will overpower her.

@soduh2: Water's her best element, it's just often the least practical

She's gotten pretty good with airbending. Using it offensively isn't always a bad thing, one of Aang's weaknesses was that he wasn't always offensive enough

Her father, uncle, cousins and teacher (Katara) would disagree about Water's impracticality.

It's not a matter of skill that holds her back, but her questionable tactics and combat style. Sort of like Wolverine or Deadpool, they know a lot of martial arts but their typical style is "BERSERKER ATTACK KATANA-RAMA, WE HAVE HEALING FACTORS!"

Similarly, Korra emphasizes projectile blasts over style or finesse. Earth and Fire are best suited to her strategy.

Aang's other weakness was that he was 12 years old and a pacifist.

When you're in an environment that doesn't have a large supply of water (which is most places), it's less practical than the other elements

Maybe, though as Bumi pointed out Aang needed to learn to do more than avoid and evade, to be more direct

@arcus: A lot of Water benders carry water with them. Korra is usually battle ready most of the time, but simply chose not to carry water. Her father even carried two satchels. Water simply isn't her element of choice IMO. It's her personal preference.

Similarly, Aang's lack of direct fighting was more of his style as well. However, we saw more versatility from hi as a result. Like how he used Air-bendeing to increase his speed, among other feats.

I wish Korra's approach to being the Avatar, and her differences from Aang, could have been explored more, I'm actually writing a pitch for this but I digress.

Yeah, there was more versatility to be sure. I'm not saying Korra's a better airbender than Aang, she's definitely not, but sometimes a good, direct air blast can be more effective than constant evasion and defense

Agreed that more of an element is better than less, however water benders aren't exactly helpless. Without even getting into bloodbending, they do well for themselves. However, the "satchel style" water bending doesn't fit with Korra's usual tactics either. She usually launches water at her opponent without boomeranging it back to her. Maybe she'll freeze them, but that's about it.

Korra's tactics, not her ability, screwed her over. Same with Aang sometimes.

@soduh2: never said they were helpless, just that why try to rely on a small amount of water when you can use large amounts of other elements?

@arcus: Azula has the capability to hold off Korra due to the limited amount of water and she has no techniques that she hasn't come across or could dodge, while Zuko has the skill to hold off and maybe beat fire bending Korra, even though her raw power is better. Ty lee's agility will mean she can take earth bending Korra, and together can take air before they back up the siblings.

the Catacombs had a pretty substantial water supply, it's no ocean or anything but it's not particularly limited either

Team Korra wins. Water Korra can beat anyone on the opposing team, and air Korra should be able to handle the nonbenders. Fire and Earth Korra together are also more than a match for anyone on the opposing team.

Azula solos 2 Korras, Zuko beats another one, Ty Lee beats any of them but water and Mai stays back cheap shotting all 4 of them or just takes down earth Korra.

Fire Nation Gang 9/10 and it's not even close....

Korras stomp. Air Korra wipes out the non benders, Water Korra beats Azula and the fire and earth Korra together beat Zuko.

Like most people in this thread I agree the Korra's win and especially with this.

We've literally seen Mai and Ty Lee stomped by airbending twice.
