Note: please don't get butthurt. I give 300 a bigger number for a reason. I'm trying to make this even. Knowing if I give them both equal numbers, Daein will win due to this fanfic and the lack of info in the game. Yeah, Daein has the best moraled military in the continent. If this is very uneven, this will be editted. Don't flag it.
1,000,000,000 Spartans plus 2,500,000 Greeks, plus the 30 million Persians vs the Daein Army of 500,000 elite Daein forces reinforced by 25,000 Crimean soldiers along with 550,000 Hryloth warriors after the destruction of Melior were send to protect their lands, knowing that Daein might get their eye on Greece and Persia altogether. Greeks and Persian may have numbers but the Daein Army is more advanced in technology and deadly war machines and not to mention procession of mithril, silver, steel, and iron armor and weaponry.
Since everyone knows about 300, I won't need to describe them. Yes, Leonidas, Themistcles, Xerxes made a pact and unite against a enemy with vast numbers.
Crimean army are not bad but their infantry force are lacking in experience compare to their Daein conquerors as the Crimean military only relies of powerful marksmen or archers, their powerful and quick cavalry, and their 40 feet war oliphants. Crimean navy is the strongest navy of all of Tellius.
Hryloth made a pact and alliance with Daein due to fear that Ashnard would go and annihilate their country from the face of the Earth. They rely brute strength but they lack skill in fighting despite they kept losing a ground battle with their rival, Crimea. They do have a powerful navy but not as good as Crimea, but it's larger in numbers. Truth be told, these men fear not just Ashnard but Daein's military power even they outnumber the Daein in soldiers.
The Daein Army... Strength and discipline is the key to Daein's success. The army itself is mostly consist of elites and professional legionaries and aerial force of powerful feared beast of wyvern riders and griffon riders.. Rarely are there any militias and inexperienced recruits due to their infamous, harsh, and brutal training when a soldier is young. It's required that every boy at the age of 6 or 7 will start building up physical strength in fighting and physique. Even at a very young age, they are required to wear leather armor weighing at least 10 pounds while training. Daein also have famous blacksmiths that was able to make great quality armor and mithril weapons for elites such as Vague Kattis(Katana-like swords, long and sharp that could cut through bronze and iron armor easily), Wishblades(Halberd-like lances, powerful and it's tip is pointy and around a foot long, it's power was to pierce through anything including bronze shields, its shaft is made out of iron which makes the weapon heavy), and Urvans(30 pounds of mithril axe and it's famous for its power and weight.) As they grow older, their training gets tougher and harsher beyond the limits as the military drill sergeants in Daein are very strict and brutal. Not only weapons were feared in Daein but armor too. Their gloves or gauntlets are designed to brutalize their enemies as spikes appear on the knuckles after Soren was born. They call it or remember it by, "Tellius steel in a Daein fist.", making Daein even more feared in battle. Not just armor was feared but their siege weapons advanced compare to all the countries of Tellius combined as Soren, the Prince, designed the dual catapult that shoots two boulders at once, a
trebuchet, the repeating ballista that shoots at least 50 bolts in a minute. Daein was famous to recruit strong men and able to hire strong mercenaries as well use laguz in war purposes by using a portion to make them the 'Feral Ones'. The Feral Ones are consisted of Red and White Dragons of Goldoa, Beast laguz(Tiger, Cat, Dog) of Gallia, Hawk and Falcons of Phoenicis, and the Ravens and crows of Kilvas.
Note: Please don't get butthurt. If this is unfair I will edit to make it even. I had the first one with the same title but due to Daein superior numbers, I have to change it with 300 with bigger numbers since they are bronze age soldiers and Daein is more medival.
Wonder what a War Oliphaunt is: it's the same Oliphaunt taken from Lord of the Rings which is why I give 300 bigger numbers.
I could tell you the strength and weaknesses now. Greeks are one of the best warriors in the world and very disciplined. Persians have numbers. Daein is the strongest militaristic nation in Tellius.
How would they beat Ashnard's leading Daein? Hold together and do not go fight hand to hand against any Daein soldier, they will lose. Go to the face if facing a Nevassan Guard, bronze won't damage their armor. I give you that one but if I have to tell you that it will rarely happen which is why I number Spartans to 1 million. Persian arrows might not affect the Daein army much since the first chapter, Daein did a testudo and they all have tower shields.
How would Daein win? Soren's tactical mind and advanced and terrifying siege weapons. The morale command of any of the Great Riders. And their aerial assaulting wyvern riders and griffon riders.
How will Daein lose? It's obvious. Getting Out flanked which is one reason why I give 300 a greater number.
Location, you decide! It could be narrow pass or wherever.
Also, no magic even if you see Soren.... and Petrine.
Daein military leaders and commanders:
The Great Riders(Petrine, Bryce, Tauroneo, Lanvega, Zelgius(Mention below)) are marshals of the Daein army. Due to lack of infomation of them because my friend didn't tell me how he could display them in combat, they don't have a story but if I have to tell you... Petrine is a Daein Kataphrakt unless the author add a new unit to the Daein military? She married Zelgius and bore two sons, William and Wes. Petrine is a tough cookie and I found a source that she might use to be a gladiator. She is a Raven brand, giving her the speed, resistance to magic, and some magical power in her which powers up her flame lance of hell fiery aura. Bryce is also pretty strong and even the second strongest rider behind Zelgius currently and he was a Nevassan Guard due to his weapon being a Wishblade. Lanvega is a question mark as no info was founf on him except Tauroneo stated that he was a stubborn swordsman so he used to be a Daein Kataphrakt, Daein Reaver, Daein Ancari, Holy Blade, Holy Lancer, or a Praven Vanguard. Tauroneo is definately a Nevassan Guard. Zelgius was a Nevassan Guard but most of his training was as a Praven Vanguard.
In Crimean army was Renning aka Bertum(Fatal Beorc Rider) was a Crimean Royal Knight whose skills exceed those including the Daein Kataphrakt. The Crimean Royal Knight is the best cavalry in all of Tellius but their mounts are not steel melee resistant like the Daein Kataphrakt whose mounts were armored with mithril, steel, and silver combined.
Daein wins. I read that fanfic a week ago and you know how hard Ike has to kill the first Nevassan Guard in that battle. And Zelgius and Ashnard would solo this one by a landslide. Doesn't matter if you give more numbers to Sparta and Persia, Daein would win. And how do you know some of those stuff? Did you talk to the author?
