@sophia89: its his first couple of appearances. This is not universe buster superman, this is the superman that couldn't even fly yet.

@superman_action_comics: Well '38 Superman still had super powers. I'd say he wins.

@eyedcyou: current superman has beat up some crooks. 1938 superman took down crooks as well. And he didn't have freeze breath or laser vision and they had about the same strength

Do all of his Golden Age appearances apply or is it strictly from 38?

@warlordeternal: only from 38 because current superman hasn't been in a lot of issues yet.

@superman_action_comics: Okay, because Late Golden Age Superman, while not absurdly powerful, was able capable of flight and I believe even lifting submarines with little to no effort.

Golden Age Superman was also a bit ruthless so I'll give it to him.
