Doomsday Confirmed?

I'll remain skeptical until it's definitely official. My excitement is through the roof if it's true though.

I doubt it and I hope he doesn't show up in BvS. Doomsday's only purpose is to kill Superman, that's all. And WB isn't going to do a 'Death and Return of the Man of Steel' two movies into their new universe. If Doomsday is to show up it should be in MoS 3 at the earliest. Supes dies at the end of that movie and comes back in MoS 4.

Doomsday is a one-note character (it's a good note, but still). He has no purpose other than to be physically superior to Superman and kill him. After that he has absolutely no significance.

@rdclip: Maybe not in the comics, but they could do a lot more with him in the movies. The Doomsday virus story was just alright but that's something they could play with.

No thank you. Every single thing Scott Lobdell did with Superman should be forgotten forever and never mentioned again.

@rdclip: Yeah and the movies and comics are two different entities. They could easily add more depth to the character in the film.

At this point, it's pretty much a given that it is Doomsday in Dawn of Justice. I don't really mind though, because aside from the narration about his origins and beating up Superman, he is a brawler. Plus, they need to get him out of the way so that they can bring in Darkseid and Brainiac, and possibly follow up on Conduit for the standalone Superman film.
